  Reasonable Quality City Centre Hotel

  This hôtel looks somewhat functional and unprepossessing on the outside, but this belies the interior which is smart and fresh. Pirmasens is not a particularly inspiring town, but if you have reason to be in the area (the surrounding Palatinate Forest and the villages located in it are well worth exploring) then you could do a lot worse than staying at the City Hôtel Pirmasens. The rooms are comfortable, the staff exceptionally friendly, and the breakfast bar well stocked and varied. The one bugbear is the on-site parking, which is both limited and difficult to maneuver around if, like us, you have a large vehicle and are not lucky enough to get one of the half dozen level parking bays. On a couple of evenings we chose to park in the street because this was easier. Also, the traffic noise at the front of the hôtel can be rather intrusive for people like us who are used to country life and it is worth asking for a room located at the back of the building if possible - although even there the traffic in the surrounding streets is very noticeable with the windows ajar.

  A perfect overnight stop from UK to Austria & vice versa.

  Excellent service. Speak English at reception. Bar for a beer when you arrive - very necessary after a long drive!!! Rooms exceptionally clean & very comfortable with king size beds and duvet and with good powerful shower and shower gel etc. provided. Kettle and tea/coffee/creamer in room. Breakfast excellent value. £7 per person with cooked and continental. Self service eat as much as you want. Asked for extra pillows and provided immediately. Sweet jars at reception to help yourself to. Always a cheery welcome after a long drive.

  Reasonable Quality

  We are a couple with a baby. We stayed for one night. Positive: High Cleanness, Quietness, Comfortable Beds, Nice and helpful Staff, Nice Terrace. Negative: Parking Space ( there is no sufficient space for cars), Toiletries should be completed, No fridge inside the room

  Lovely hotel.

  The staff were lovely here. It is a very small hotel in a small town. Lots of lovely resturants nearby and the science musesum. Breakfast was small but a good buffet. Rooms were clean and tidy, beds were comfortable. The main bar was well stocks and the seating area was pleasent to sit for a drink after work.

  Breakfast buffet

  Did not actually stay at this hotel only went to the breakfast buffet 3 times during my stay in Pirmasens. The food was delicious. Great selection. The staff at the front desk and at the buffet were very nice. Definitely will go there again on my next visit.
