  Wedding during Covid

  What an amazing venue the staff couldn't have done anymore. Friendly helpful and all adhering to the covid measures. Yes some things were different but the staff espcially Roz had thought of everything to make my best friends wedding such a wonderful day to remember. The food was a-maz-ing afternoon tea probably one of the best yet, the fish and chips and then breakfast, all dietary needs catered for. Well done everyone at the hotel and thank you all for a prefect day

  A great getaway

  We stayed at the hotel for three days. We found the staff very friendly, helpful and competent. The room was clean and the bed had a good mattress. The building is a very old house, so the floor was slightly uneven and the windows were of an old style, but this added, rather than detracted from our stay. The hotel was clean and tidy throughout, and comfortable. We ate at the hotel each evening and the food was excellent, tasty and filling. The days were warm enough for us to sit out on the terrace, which was also a treat, with the added bonus of being able to order a cream tea.

  Good value and beautiful grounds

  We stayed here while walking The Ridgeway and it was probably the best stop en route, an impressive building surrounded by lovely gardens and good food in the restaurant. Large room with very spacious bathroom, lovely library/lounge area and the best feature was the staircase and dome. All conveniences provided in the room including an iron and ironing board, tea and coffee in proper mugs and all at a very good price for B&B.

  Anniversary dinner

  Food and service second to none. A reduced menu exceeded expectations, very refined and full of flavour. The service was warm friendly and relaxed. Beautiful grounds and venue, we will definitely go again.
