Only stay here if you mustOnly suited to local Chinese. Little or no English speaking staff, smoking at reception desk, poor breakfast options, no wifi in rooms, fitness centre not open until 10am. Overall very poor standard of management

Loud and SleeplessDays Inn, Charleston, SC Historic District. We stayed on the bottom floor just a little ways up from the office. It must have been college night there, because it was so loud outside we could not sleep. We could even hear the girls high heels hitting the walkway. This went on just about all night. When asked if I contacted the front office, I said no. We were next to the office; they could hear the noise as well as we could. I would suggest before booking your room, you ask if there will be a large group staying the same time you are. If so, I would book somewhere else.

Less than stellar! When we called for reservations, we were told there was breakfast included. When we got to the hotel, the hotel was being renovated and there was no breakfast. We were not given a reduced rate because of that. We ended up paying breakfast for two days, at a cost of $80. HMMMM! In addition, through your service we were told we couldn't get the AARP discount because you had the most reduced rate already. Not so! If we had been able to call Choice Hotels directly, the room would have been $30 less EACH night.

A good hotel spoilt by a poor breakfastI happened to be in this hotel for a few hours' sleep as a result of a flight cancellation and rerouting experience. In-room free wi-fi was very fast and steady. The hotel is very close to the international airport and a one-way taxi journey costs about RMB$30 only. The guest room I had was impressively comfortable (though I should say the carpet should have been replaced for better hygiene) and the hotel lobby was compact but fine. The few hours of sleep in the room was perfect and there was no issue of stuffy room as I had just had in Dalian. What came as a last unpleasant surprise was the eatery for breakfast from 6 am the next morning. I was shocked with the extremely limited variety and quantities of foods for breakfast of tens of guests. Even drinks had been exhausted when I tried to get one. So the free bottle of water in my room was the only bit left to keep me from getting thirsty. The worst thing was that I was almost tripped over by one of the 3 electric socket points on the floor which should have been properly covered with the lid. My camera which landed on the floor did not break as it was cushioned by the dirty carpet. What an experience!

Near Tianjin airportThe Baiyun Hotel is very well located near the airport. It is very modern with large rooms very clean and quite. The bed are double bed and excellent. They have two restaurant one chinese very typical and the second westen style with very good hot pot. The breakfast is a buffet style. So excellent hotel wher you can make a stop at moderate cost
