Beautiful viewProbably the highest level hotel from Zell Am See. Very good view from a part of rooms. A little bit far away from down town but compensates with view to Zell Am See and positioning. My room was very clean and big. Keep in mind that not all rooms are the same.

DisappointingWe stayed here from 17-19th September, 2018 for two nights. The hotel is located on top of a hill in front of lake Zell in Zell Am See. The drive to the hotel is a bit tricky as the dedicated road leading up to it is narrow. We got a lake facing room with a balcony and the view was simply breathtaking. The room was spacious, had a kitchenette and two intelligently designed bunk beds, one of which was concealed unless u opened it and the second one could be used as a sofa. The balcony had two chairs and a coffee table. Id give an excellent rating to both the view and the room. Let me explain why I gave them 2 stars overall. I booked directly from the hotels website. On their website it was mentioned that all prices include an all inclusive package for summers from May to October that comes with afternoon snacks and dinner (half board). I called the hotel to confirm and made the booking. Furthermore, on their website other facilities were mentioned such as a petting zoo and a pony ride for kids and a heated pond pool. The price per night was EUR 170 which was high for a three star but we thought it was a good deal considering all the facilities. When we arrived at the hotel we were told that our booking includes only breakfast and not the half board package. We were a bit disappointed but anyways we let it go. We thought that the room and view still compensated for the price we paid. We had a nice comfortable stay on the first night. Dined in their restaurant and the food was not bad. Next morning we had breakfast which was decent and we left early as we had a lot of activities planned. The summer card the hotel gave us was really helpful and we got a free visit to the top of Salzburg using it. (Please note that most of the hotels in Zell Am See give their guests free summer cards from May to October). We came back to the hotel around 5pm. As we entered the room we saw that the kitchenette was closed (there was a shutter in front of it) and the things we left in the refrigerator were lying on the table. Upon our inquiry the receptionist said you only booked the room so you have to pay 30 euros per night for using the kitchenette. They should have mentioned this while at the time of reservation or they should clearly mention this on the website. Its not that we needed the kitchenette for cooking etc but since we have a two years old kid, we needed a fridge for keeping fresh milk a microwave/kettle for warming it. We dont book a room that doesnt have a fridge and a kettle. I am very disappointed with this hotel because there were many better deals available in the town when we booked it but I chose berghotel jaga Alm only because of the facilities they mentioned on the website. Furthermore there was literally no petting zoo they only had 2-3 rabbits n 2-3 hens thats all. We asked for a ride on the pony for our daughter n they said pony is sick so you cant take the ride. If all of this was offered for 2/3rd or the price Id be ok because then it would be a fair price. It would have been a fair deal if they hadnt charged us the price of a 4* star hotel and gave us facilities of a 3*. Also at the breakfast area there were more flies than people. Literally 2-4 flies on each dish. This could have been a good choice esp if you dont have kids cz theres a no super market around and for everything you have to go down to the city. Would not come again.

Great viewThe hotel is located a bit away from downtown in the mountain side. It has a very nice view over Zell an See. The apartment is newly renovated and are really great. The service are like a family hotel. Breakfasts is great and the possible to make your own omelette. The evening dinner that is included are the only not so good. It is average house food and could improve to be in the same style as the rest of the hotel. Recommend this place. Ski inn and ski out. Slopes are 5 meter away

Fantastic ski holidayWe spent 7 days skiing in Zell am See as a family of five and had a two bedroom apt at the Jaga Alm, every thing was excellent! This ski in/ski out hotel is situated directly on one of the red slopes and its location provides great views onto the lake. Our room in Jaga Alm was very cozy and spacious, with a balcony and the lake view. It felt very peaceful and we never had any issues. Very friendly staff and host was very helpful. The food was excellent infact we chose to return to the hotel for lunch most days as the food was so good. Perfect for families or those looking a quality hotel away from the town centre... just wish they had a 'hot tub' or jacuzzi.
