    Excellent family run hotel

The hotel is right by the lifts to the fantastic resort of Hochfugen with views from the balcony of our room to the Piste. The rooms are smart and comfortable with good facilities. The staff are very helpful and polite making it feel home from home. The swimming pool and sauna facilities are great making it a good option for family ski holiday. The food is hearty and just what you need after a days skiing and the fireworks display at New Year is not to be missed.

Service & Location top price/service really okay

First to say - service is brilliant. As well the location. We also booked the dinner package where you have three main courses for choice, startes and dessert fixed but additionally a salad, kids and ice buffet. Great value and the drink's cocts are really okay for this area. In general it's little bit more expensive than in Fuegen itself but the location is unique. Also fitness, swimming hall, steam bath and sauna are included. There's also a really nice hotel bar (little bit hidden) with great choice and ressonable prices. Ski and shoes drying room also included as free parking place in front of the hotel. Only reason why 4 points only - the room we had was quite loud. We heard the movement of the others. You should try to get one of the upper floor rooms. Nothing to say about skiing conditions - perfect!

    Perfect for families

This hotel has everything for a family. Nice rooms, spa and sauna, pool, and many places for children to play. The staff is absolutely top service oriented. Even though we were there out of season, which is in the winter, the staff made sure that we felt welcome. Also there is a nice restaurant, and the breakfast was very good.

Friendly and welcoming family run hotel

We stayed here for five snowy days over Christmas this year. A truly friendly hotel, run by a lovely, hardworking family. It was a delight to us to see how welcome families with small children were, it was clearly no trouble to the hotel for a number of (beautifully behaved) small children to be playing around in the lobby and dining room. We just wished we had some with us who could have joined in. On Christmas Eve the family arranged an early evening carol singing around a fire pit in the snow, with canapes, gluhwein and sparklers, a special Christmassy experience The hotel was warm throughout, and tastefuly decorated. Bedroom good sized with a balcony large enough for a couple of chairs and a table. The bed was well sized and comfortable, although more pillows would have been nice. My only gripe about the room is that it was very sad not to have a kettle, as nothing beats coffee in bed in the morning when not having to rush to work. Excellent pool, a really good size, with steam room attached (although steam room hours are limited), and a view out to the main ski slope opposite (for those strange people who lie in loungers beside the pool, instead of swimming). Dressing gowns and swim towels were provided in the bedroom, all in a handy bag for carrying to and from the pool, a genius idea which more hotels should emulate. We also had massages on Christmas Day, which was a great treat. There is also a sauna, which we didn't try, and a gym, which seems somewhat pointless with all that stunning outdoors to exercise in. Attached and somehow linked to the hotel are a small shop, a circular bar and a daytime cafe with excellent and plentiful food (dish of the day, pastas, chips, hotdogs, strudel, excellent cheese toasties, all good hearty skiing food). Evening meals were selected from a menu with a choice of three mains (meat, fish, veg), being chosen at breakfast time for that evening, plus a starter and dessert. The food was not always to our taste but there was also always a varied salad bar, breads, and two soups, which were always delicious. For the children there were separate self-service offerings, including scoop your own ice cream. Breakfast the usual self-service breads, cereals, yoghurt , fruit, cheeses and meats, but also cooked to order eggs, bacon, omelettes etc. Waiting staff friendly and professional. We were constantly impressed by the commitement, care and work-ethic of the staff in this hotel. We had a lovely, relaxing stay and would be very happy to return.
