  Not a Wellness hotel - unfriendly

  When we arrived, the road was covered in ice and snow, and they did not attempt to clean the roads for arriving guests. we got stuck and could not move the car. The food was supposed to be 'bio' but it obviously was from aldi or lidl, and tasted horrible. i sent the spoiled meat back one night, and the vegetables tasted like 'meals on wheels' for an old folks home. the food portions were so small. no normal resturant would ever serve that small of a portion. the sauna and wellness area were not 'available' and it was a pain to ask an hour or more in advance to be able to use the facilities. the 'boss lady' owner was not always there, and has a very gruff personality. i aksed her in the afternoon how we order the food for the evening meal, and she was very rude, never smiled..the hot tea for the afternoon was cold. it appears that they dont want to spend any money on heating or accomodations for guests. their cheapiness shows. there were 2 meters of snow, i took my dog out at 630 am, and the boss lady came out with her cat and told me i needed to not 'walk on the terrace' ..excuse me?! but that was the ONLY place that was passible by foot. the cat roamed thru the hotel during the night...i found this out when i went down at 1130 pm and met the hissing cat at the elevator door!!! i have a severe cat allergy...this could have been somewhat dangerous for me. the bathroom was SO incrediably small, we took a picture and laughed about it. no normal person over 70kg could turn around in the bathroom. definatley not for fat people. over all, the atomsphere was not 'inviting' and the 'wellness' hotel is only a name...you have to BEG and PLEAD and maybe 2 hours later you can use the sauna. the food is NOT BIO, and tastes like crap. we wont be returning. upon departure, they dont help you clean the snow from the parking lot or your car...instead they give a huge shovel and you do it yourself....

  Fabulous alpine family break

  Spent a blissful six nights here walking, riding bikes and eating far too much Kaffee und Kuchen. We had an huge room for two adults and a child with views down the valley to Unterjoch. Our favourite days out were cycling to Giebelhaus, walking up to the Buchelalpe hut behind the hotel and my son loved the waterpark Wonnemar.
