Very Beautiful Place GrandI stayed here for the first time. The lobby is fantastic. Staff is friendly. The hotel is conveniently located in the downtown area close to greart restaurants. The room was large and comfortable. Parking is in the street alongside hotel.

Hotel stayI come to visit my parent regular and the Bentley Hotel is by far the place of my choice. Great place to stay and relax. Very quite and the staff is outstanding. In addition they have a great pet friendly policy and my pooch and myself felt like family. Again Thanks for the service and a job well done!

Rest in Comfort and HistoryWe stayed the weekend and the Hotel Bentley is always a welcome place for friendly service, accommodating staff, comfortable rooms/beds and a joy to get lost in. The small museum off the lobby tells the history of the Bentley and its contribution during WWII. We love to venture around the place and take in the beauty of its structure and how well the Hotel has been revitalized. Whether you enjoy a meal in their restaurant, some great libations in the Mirror Room Tapas Lounge (great place to meet friends) or just sit on the front porch and watch the river flow by, your stay will without a doubt be memorable.

Mixed EmotionsMixed Emotions! Read the entire message if you want an updated and honest review from a person who travels extensively. I had a group reservation booked for my 40th birthday about 2 months in advance. Everything with planning went as smooth as can be. However, when we arrived to check-in we were told that the A/C was out in ALL common areas - dining room, bar, common area/lobby, and some of the guest rooms. This is not what you want to hear when you are arriving with 8 rooms with people traveling from all over the state - especially since the entire evening was being held at the hotel using all of it's public areas, bars, and restaurants. No signs, no advance notice, no phone call, and the fact that I spoke to someone in management one day prior to re-confirm, nothing was mentioned. After playing "musical rooms" and having to go room to room to see which rooms were clean and had working a/c, i was able to get everyone checked into a room after 2 hours. We still had broken a/c that went out in two of the rooms later that day, and there are MANY improvements that are needed from housekeeping to routine maintenance. Dirty floors, water and other liquids on the floor that are not cleaned, no trash cans in public areas, dirty carpet, poor signage, debris from collapsing ceiling tiles in some areas, and even door locks that do not work. I realize this is a historic hotel that claims to be a "boutique" hotel - and believe me - it has MUCH potential to be this, however I am not sure if it is poor management or simply not enough money to properly run the place. I hope this review helps and we can see improvement in the future. Just remember, this is a beautiful, historic hotel that is a great place to host an event and spend a night or two - just remember - there will be plenty of concerns that you would not expect from other hotels in this price range. NOW - WITH ALL DO RESPECT TO THE HOTEL AND MANAGEMENT - they were some of the friendliest hotel staff I have ever encountered. Martha, The GM, and Mrs. T, Front Office Manager are excellent in planning and are super hospitable. ALL OF THE FRONT DESK STAFF IS ALSO AMAZING. The rooms were very clean with nice furnishings and the most comfortable beds ever. Parking is free and there is lots of it - although it is street parking or nearby empty parking lot. Excellent Community Coffee always available in the lobby, lots of luggage carts, AC works well - when it is not broken , great shower heads and water pressure, soft thick towels, excellent bath Gilchrist and Soames bath products, (no wash clothes for some reason), nice views, and the restaurant and bar has AMAZING FOOD AND BEVERAGE options in a nice atmosphere. Will I continue to visit - ABSOLUTELY! Would I stay here again, and with a group - ABSOLUTELY! I would just make sure that things are fully operational before hand and I will know what to expect when i arrive - by all means - it is a casual atmosphere hotel - similar to a mom and pop historical home non luxury bed and breakfast in the country. But I do hope they are able to remain open and continue to work on improvements to take this property to it's fullest potential - which could be a true 4 star boutique hotel for large and small group events - but I think that will be based on management and ownership and how much they are willing to put into the property. BEST WISHES HOTEL BENTLEY !

Bad experienceReserved a room. Got to the property around 3:30pm and they told us our room wasnt ready. Waited a half hour, then they told us the hotel was overbooked and they didnt have a room for us. We asked about any other rooms that may be available, suite, queen beds, etc. They said there was nothing. Then another man checked in while we were trying to figure out what to do. We asked how he got a room. Then they told us that our rooms air conditioner was out so thats why we couldnt stay... Three different reasons for not honoring our reservation. Oh, they said the AC was broken because of the freeze in Feb. we made the reservation March 10th. Pretty sure they were aware of the AC problem when we reserved. They called the Holiday inn for us to see if they had an available room. Oh, and they said that we could come back and look around at their beautiful historic hotel if we wanted to... that was nice of them. Sounds like, Here, look at our wonderful menu, but you cant eat anything.
