  Trekking at the Gendarmstien

  We are three couples who have booked 3 double rooms next to each other. Our stay including all meals; breakfast, pack lunch and dinner.The pack-lunches were delicious. However our overall experience ended less positive. The heating thermostat in one of the rooms malfunction and the heat rose to an unbearably level +25 degree making difficult to sleep. The following day the problem was still not resolved and as a consequence one of the couples was disagreeable downgraded to a tiny hostel room nearby on the fourth floor and without elevator. Further disappointed was extended when having to share a common bathroom in the corridor. Suggestion: Ensuring a contingency 'hotel' room would have resulted in an outstanding experience.

  Hotel located at Flensborg Fjord

  In scenio surroundings, Benniksgaard Hotel is located right up at Flensborg Fjord. A visit to Benniksgaard takes place in a relaxed style for golfers, families, friends and couples. The hotel consists of rooms, apartments, B&B and annex. Not far from there is a great view of the Oxe Islands by the South sea and another fantastic evening restaurant - Restaurant Bind - if you need new flavors. This time we only stayed at Benniksgaard to enjoy a drink in the warm weather, nyt in 2011 we were on a really nice stay at the hotel, where we had a nice, large room - and enjoyed the whole area and the pearls of the fjord - incl. Restaurant Bind.

  It...

  It was another 3 fantastic months at Benniksgaard hotel. Thank you very much for the touching welcome present and the card on my crisp white tablecloth. Benniksgaard has become my second home. A stunningly maintained old farmhouse, a place with a soul, history and a lovely touch of art. Beautiful surroundings for hiking and strolling in the Graasten Palace garden. I met with the most friendly and helpful staff. Great food and a delicious breakfast buffet - I had to admire the soft-boiled eggs perfectly cooked each time. I also loved the view and the nice background music. I didn't want to leave. Hence, I'm looking very much forward to seeing you all again at Christmas.   Relaxing after long work

  We were hiking at Gendarmstien and had booked a room at Benniksgaard Hotel. The hotel was extremely booked but still the personnel managed to give us an excellent experience - despite being very busy. The room was nice and the meal we have booked together with the room was delicious. We were on holiday and thus waiting a bit was not a nuisance - it might have been if you were in a hurry.

  Pros and cons at Benniksgaard

  Pros: Big, clean and quiet room on the ground floor in the main building A dinner restaurant staff that knows all about good service Quality starters and desserts that were served at our table Perfect location for hiking the Gendarme Path Cons: It is a big place and therefore you must expect a restaurant full of people even though the rules of physical distancing between the tables were observed Buffet was announced in advance as a possibility, but I did not expect buffet three evenings in a row; the offers from the dinner buffet were plenty Get up early for breakfast to get a table to avoid queues around and along the self service buffet Prices are reasonable, but I would gladly pay more, if the main course was served at the table.
