  Bedsit land and awful experience!

  As you can see the reviews say it all. Exeter was fine for us, staying here was the problem. On arrival we were informed by a staff member that our bedsit was'nt paid for, booking.com mistake..it was made quite plain that if i did'nt make a second payment we were not welcome!! Thank you booking.com..to add insult i had to pay a further £17 on top.. which was the discount as a early booking fee. In short, road side cafe style breakfast, musty smelling stairwells, charity shop furniture, poor decor through out, noisey communal bathrooms. unhelpful staff! Took the matter up with booking.com..dragged there feet? so got the online nice guy's at resolver on it and i threatened civil action..refunded my £250 quick as you like. Contacted Bendene bedsits for my £17 back..not interested!! fobbed off by someone called Chris fobbed off by other staff, emails ignored by a certain mark [--] who ever he is, pretty poor standards of customer care!! Can't take civil action as the amount is too low..believe me i would. all in all a unpleasent place. AVOID it and booking.com

  We liked it anyway

  Location fabulous Host pleasant enough Room warm and cosy Cleaniness met expectations Bed and pillows a touch firm for my liking Breakfast plentiful This establishment is not advertised as a hotel but as accomodation with rooms It's adequate and does the job Our experience was a good one x

  Perfect base for a city break

  We had a great stay at the weekend. The welcome from the owner was lovely and warm. The room facilities were great and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast was big enough without being too big. The location was close enough to town without being too noisy at night. Nothing was too much trouble even at 7.30am when there was a leak from the room above the owner was very apologetic

  Great property, lovely location

  Only stayed a couple of nights, the welcome was warm, we had three rooms which were all very different, one so so tiny yet and it was odd that the plumbing was on show, lots of plastic piping! My room had obviously had some improvement but where old fixtures had been the damage hadn't been made good.. bed head, shower.. Breakfast was excellent, all served, lots of choice and very good. No coffee or biscuit replenishment in the rooms after the first night.. We did enjoy it though, a great location to town with a car park directly opposite. Way more plusses than negatives..

  Great find

  Great place to stay in Exeter, perfectly priced (always call them direct for best price), lovely staff and a very central location. Oh, and the breakfast was second to none! Will definitely stay again, and recommend to my friends and family
