  Céntrico y recomendable

  Después de visitar Berna llegamos a este pueblo, precioso, el hotel muy céntrico y señorial, de épocas pasadas, estuvimos en la parte antigua del hotel habitación toda de madera un poco ruidosa al pisar el suelo, confortable pero tal vez un poco calurosa en verano, personal de recepción muy correcto, desayuno bien, desde el pueblo se puede hacer alguna excursión cerca también hay un restaurante a unos 2km del jardin de las hierbas Ricola muy típico para comer fondue i raclette

  Large but friendly hotel 5 mins from station

  Stayed here with a group. Very clean and spacious room and huge bathroom. Beware a few small step trip hazards though - surprised they aren't highlighted better as there will bound to be accidents. Capsule coffee machine in room but no instructions for use and having sought guidance twice at reception, gave up. A pity, it just needed a simple kettle rather that something over-engineered. No safe in room. Lovely large and warm swimming pool open long hours. Nice food served at breakfast - beautifully soft baguettes - and group meals in evening. Two good supermarkets within a 100 yards, and a post office, bread shop and gifts.

  Really lovely hotel

  The Belle Époque Hotel Victoria is a lovely place to stay. Its a large hotel with all the amenities you could need, and yet it retains a personal touch. The staff are all really friendly and helpful and everything runs like clockwork. My husband and I were there for a week on an Inntravel holiday. We had a lovely large room with king size bed, lots of storage space and a nice big en suite with large bath and shower. We also had a balcony from which we could enjoy the picturesque views. We had a half board booking and were allocated a table in the dining room for the duration of our stay. Breakfast offered all the choice you could want with fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt, cooked items, meat, cheese, fresh bread and croissants. You simply helped yourself to whatever you wanted. Our table was large and there was plenty of space around. At breakfast we filled in our choices for the 4-course meal for the evening. The evening food varied in quality but generally speaking was good and there were some particularly good dishes. Our wine and soft drinks were also all included. The staff were really helpful. We had a winter sports taster week arranged and the hotel kept us informed as to what we needed to do. They were happy to provide courtesy transport when needed - particularly if you wanted to go up to the ski slopes in ski boots and carrying skis and poles etc. The owners organised an evening of aperitifs and canopies to introduce us to the programme and made a point of chatting with everyone. The WiFi worked perfectly throughout the hotel. There was a lovely comfortable lounge, a quiet reading room, a pool and a sauna. All fabulous. And we were provided with plenty of large fluffy white towels as well as swimming towels and towelling robes. I really couldnt find a single negative thing to say about our stay.

  Great hotel!

  Great experience in this beautiful place, Nice people, good restaurant with original and traditional meals, delicious, great quality for price, gorgeous view from the swimming pool, perfect after a day hiking. We had a great time there, highly recommend.

  So much better than the reviews!

  I booked this hotel because it is near the station and has a swimming pool, and was offering a good deal for a few nights. Reading the reviews ....later(!) I was having doubts: there were many comments about the pool being cold and dirty,the rooms being noisy because of the wooden floors,beds being uncomfortable,the mysterious coffee machine,the decor being in need of a makeover etc. I was pleasantly surprised.The hotel is in fact delightful! I was given a beautiful room in a quiet area, as requested. I needed a cool place to keep some medicine....and was given a mini fridge.Everyone has been extremely helpful and friendly. My bed is comfortable and I sleep well here.Everything is clean and , though the coffee machine remains an enigma, everything works. True, the pool is small and not really good for proper swimming. I tried going early in the morning but if 3 other people have the same idea, it feels pretty crowded! Children seem to love it in the daytime though. The water temperature is perfect for swimming and..., to my surprise ,its true about the missing tiles at the pool edge that no one ever bothered to replace :-) ( I wonder whyever not?) The breakfast buffet is excellent and the breakfast room is beautiful - no dowdy 70s orange and beige table cloths or tasteless furnishings as one finds so often in Swiss hotels of this standard.I have stayed in hotels of a higher rating that are much less elegant than this one. Perfect for a relaxing break alone ( especially now when COVID-19 restrictions mean you can have the sauna all to yourself for an hour!)
