  The true meaning of hospitality

  We passed by Montebelluna because of a family wedding and we stayed 2 nights at the Hotel Bellavista. At the beginning we weren't particularly impressed: the rooms are spacious and quite clean, and the interior decoration (always of good quality), display a design from the 80' (dark wood, moquette on the floor, etc) which is not exactly trendy. But the service is something we have rarely found in other places. We had a small issue with the minibar and almost immediately we were provided with ice cold drinks in the room. Then, being arrived late, we didn't feel to go out to a restaurant: some pizzas were brought from a local restaurant and served to us in the room. I even realized that my suit needed some ironing and called the reception for help. I was explained that the service was not running during the weekend but a solution would have been found. The next day I had my suit perfectly ironed ready at the door. That night I spent some time on the balcony, enjoying the fresh breeze coming from the hills and the singing of the cicades while looking at the sparkling lights of the underlying villages. The morning breakfast offers a variety of choices (besides the traditional ones): home baked cakes, fresh fruits, home made yogurt, etc. We have been served it under one of the gazebos in the garden, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view extending for many kilometers (the hotel is situated on a hill overlooking at the town). In the evening the same gazebos offers a nice relaxing atmosphere, where we enjoyed freshly picked cherries while talking with a lovely and charming lady who is the managing director and a co-owner of the hotel. Since ancient times, the term "host" was used to specify both the traveler seeking for refreshment and the person who provides it. This original ambivalence reflects the special relationship by which the stranger (potentially an enemy) is bestowed welcome and granted shelter. So the hostility is transformed in hospitality (both words share the same root), perpetuating this reciprocal tradition of civilization which is ancient and holy, because, as the Romans would believe, the host could also be Zeus in disguise. If you are looking for a classy and trendy place probably this hotel won't be your first choice, but if you would like to (re)discover the warmth of true hospitality, the Hotel Bellavista is one of the best places to be.

  Excellent customer service

  A lovely quiet hotel with excellent views and an old school Italian charm. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are kept clean and tidy without intruding on your privacy. When I have the opportunity to visit the area again I will stay here as there are several great restaurants also within easy walking distance. Excellent value for money.

  Great!

  Rooms are well appointed, clean, quiet and very comfortable for a good nights rest. Very good wifi. Great view and nice balconies to relax on. Breakfast is also very good with many choices. Everybody at Bellavista is very friendly, helpful and efficient and always deal with requests immediately going the extra mile. After many stays it's always a pleasure to return.

  Ive had a wonderful 2 week stay. The owners and staff made me feel at home. I worked in customer service for 25 years and would put them at the top of my list. Its a beautiful hotel. I hope to return again!

  Muy buena vista, pero excesivamente antiguo

  Es una de las pocas opciones de hospedaje en Montebelluna. El hotel esta ubicado sobre una colina por lo que las vistas son espectaculares. El hotel es muy antiguo y es lo que no me gusto (parecen de los 70,'s) el cuarto no cuenta con tarjeta electrónica para la apertura de puertas es con llave. El desayuno es super básico y no encontré opciones que me gusten.
