  Great place to stay.

  Garry and Robyn and Mac the dog were great hosts.Fantastic to find a place in the city that welcomes pets. Great location in Dunedin close to the hospital and city centre. Bella Vista motels are always of the same great presentation.

  Friendly Hosts

  Stayed here one night for work. Location is close to the university with a large contingent of student accommodation next door so I was praying they would be quiet. They were, no issues there. I was in a studio unit which although compact had everything one needs and nothing you don't. The motel is close to fast food chains like KFC and McDonalds and there is a pub on the corner 30 seconds away for pub meals. Room was clean, be comfortable, shower pressure good and the room was quiet. Those are my main 4 needs. Smokers however beware, you will have to go stand in a spot in the carpark by the boundary which was fine when I was there as it was it was fine, but if it were raining, not so good. Overall I would have no issue with staying again.

  KFC behind motel, Mcds over road & handy to town

  Everything I needed but my unit a bit small. Great to be able to take a little dog with permission, something I totally appreciated- however I did not like to see bits of fur from a previous dog on skirting boards around motel, floor felt gritty too - it wasnt the wonderful clean motel that some of these reviews refer to. However I would recommend as owners were pleasant and you feel very safe.

  Great Location, friendly helpful hosts

  Can definitely recommend this place, ideal location lots of food nearby. Great hosts who helped us out by extending our stay due to needing to get a Covid test and having to delay our flight. Studio rooms are small but have everything you need and very comfortable.

  Enjoyable pet friendly stay

  Stayed here with our small dog for a couple of nights to avoid camping in the rain. Fairly small room for 2 people, but very clean and efficient. The manager could not have been friendlier or more helpful. He has a cute little dog as well. Close to whatever we needed, with a nice sport park just down the street. Overall good value and worth a look.
