  Como viajar al pasado

  Es como viajar al pasado, pero desde un punto de vista positivo. Precioso edificio victoriano, con todos sus elementos decorativos apenas intactos, con una recepcionista mas que eficiente y siempre amable y dispuesta a ayudar, solo estuve un dia, pero mi estancia fue mas que agradable. A apenas 4 minutos de la estacion de trenes, y a unos 8 0 10 del centro historico su ubicacion es excelente. La habitacion era un pelin mas grande que la del hotel anterior, con todo lo que podria haber necesitado. En la parte trasera a donde daba mi habitacion, estaban haciendo una serie de obras en un edificio adyacente, pero a cierta hora de la noche las obras terminan y no afecta al sueño para nada. Lo recomiendo.

  I paid eighty pounds for the pleasure of the Belgrave Hotel,desk staff perfect, but please don't be fooled, the accomodation is a disgrace,to anyone who takes the time to read this, don't stop there it's not a joke.

  Absolutely Awful

  This has got to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff were lovely and it must be very embarrassing for them to send people to these rooms! As soon as we walked in we were hit by the most awful smell and had to go out and buy an extra strong air freshener to mask the odour! The window in the bathroom was broken so it was permanently open and looked like it had never been cleaned ( see photo). I could not bring myself to have a shower as the plug hole looked filthy and round about there was mould. The ceiling in the bathroom has damp. There was something brown and disgusting on the carpet. A fly flew out of the sink when my daughter was cleaning her teeth. Neither my daughter or myself got any sleep because there was constant noise of people walking up and down the corridors in the night and also because of the noise of traffic through the open bathroom window. We paid £80 for this room and you couldnt pay me any amount of money to stay there again!

  Double economy room - never again!!!

  Reception staff were lovely! By all means the downstairs area was good, coffee and tea making fertility in the coffee room, bar looked nice. Then theres the actual room we stayed in. Bathroom was not what it states on the images when booking, tiny little bathroom just enough room to turn around in. We found hairs in the bathroom when we first arrived, mould on the wall, shower was appalling. Couldnt get hot water, the heater wasnt working so we were freezing ! Windows were faulty, we found silverfish in the shower! (Pic is below) Carpets hadnt been hoovered as we found food under the bed. Cabinets were dirty and the smell was horrendous!!! Maintenance tried walking in the room at 10am the first night, obviously to do her job but if we hadnt put the latch on the door she couldve walked right in, didnt knock or anything. At first I didnt know who tried entering until we left the room and she asked if we needed anything. No one told us what time maintenance would come around. The shower wasnt cleaned, half used toilet roll was left on top of the toilet. I wouldve expected them to be fresh new rolls considering COVID-19, never mind assuring everywhere was clean. We considered re booking until we saw the state of the room. Wouldnt recommend to anyone....

  Lovely stay

  Staff lovely and very welcoming. We had a double room with twin beds which were very comfortable it was basic but clean with tea and coffee making facilities and tv. Reading past reviews were abit worrying but we always form our own opinions of places and in this case we totally disagreed with them . I do say if you want 5 star privileges then pay 5 star prices! We had a very enjoyable stay and would stay again thank you!
