  Precioso B&B en el centro de Sandwich

  Precioso B&B en el centro de Sandwich. Excelente B&B en el centro de Sandwich. Nos alojamos en agosto 3 noches en la habitación Seth en The Painted Lady. Habitación muy grande y cómoda, el desayuno está muy bueno, el personal es atento. Nos gustó mucho.

  Encanto especial y trato exquisito

  Este B&B tiene el mismo encanto refinado que el popio Sandwich. La habitacion muy comodo, con detalles y decoracion muy a corde con el lugar. Desayuno con opciones y excelente. El Bistro es una de las mejores opciones para comer en Sandwich con platos elaborados y una bodega fantastica. Por ultimo destacaria el trato muy agradable. En definitiva, volveriamos sin dudarlo. Se nota el cariño que le ponen en cada detalle

  Unique setting

  The interior is so pretty, and the outdoor dining on the lawn looks lovely. The staff works very hard to manage the larger COVID footprint with tables indoors and all round outdoors, so expect service to be a little on the slow side. Drinks are well-made. The salmon preparation that has a sweetness that is quite delicious.

  If you're looking for a quiet, romantic gateway, go somewhere else.

  Booked a room in the Painted Lady building and could not have been more disappointed. From the website pictures and reviews, I was really looking forward to a lovely weekend--especially for $300 a night. We walked in, and the room looked lovely. As we both settled back onto the bed, it made sounds like it was going to disintegrate. A quick inspection found that a queen sized bunkie board had been wedged into a full sized bed frame... Seemed silly as a bigger bedframe shouldn't be an unwieldy investment, but we giggled at the quirkiness and didn't give it another thought, as we were then struck buy the fact that the entire room was damp... The bedding was damp, the curtains were damp... With the air conditioner on, it was just cold and wet. This was most likely due to the stepped up cleaning because of of Covid. But, one would think they would have the forsight to let the room dry before being inhabited. When using the bathroom, I quickly learned that no matter how gently you pulled in the toilet paper, the entire holder would fall off the wall... Another quirk but not earth shatteringly bad. We had dinner at the Burger Bar, and although the burgers were overpriced for no reason--nothing special to the meat and the toppings were scant, our waitress was amazing and friendly. As we retired back to our room, and climbed into our wet bed, we shivered and find that it appeared the duvet cover was ripped and the inner duvet had a nasty looking old, brown stain. The duvet seemed to be weighted to an uncomfortable degree. We closed our eyes looking for a quiet night's sleep when we discovered an unfortunate pattern. While the restaurant was being closed or opened each day, we were treated to very loud banging sounds both above and below us that literally made the furniture in our room shake for roughly 30mins to an hour each morning and night. So much so that our sleep schedule was dictated by the sounds of the restaurant staff. After the cacophony and shaking subsided, we spent a sleepless shivering in our cold, damp bed. The next morning we went for a nice walk on the beach and returned mid-afternoon for a nap to make up for the lack of sleep the previous night. As we settled into our finally dry bed, we noticed loud music being played outside. We went to make sure all of our windows were closed and going that the bathroom window doesn't close at all. Unable to sleep, I decided to check for someplace to go nearby. Pulling out my phone, I discovered that the "free wi-fi" was slower than the spotty cell phone coverage. We went to dinner at the restaurant that night at the Abbey for dinner. The food was meh, but the waitress was again amazing. We went back to our room and waited to be permitted to sleep. After the bang I ng stopped, the music was turned off, and the employees stopped yelling to each other, we settled on for another sleepless night. In the morning, we realized we didn't know what time checkout was. We looked over the papers we were given, but it wasn't listed not on the website. Upon calling the number we were given upon check-in ("Call for absolutely anything"), we were treated to an angry sounding voice that made it clear that asking what time checkout was is not a good reason to call. Feeling rather unwelcome at the inn, we brushed it off and went for the complimentary breakfast. Our unsmiling waiter brought us our rather Spartan breakfast that included no choice of sides--I got a waffle with old, squishy strawberries on top and we were given one pat of butter to share between us. There was no offering of bacon, sausage, etc. We were not offered a refill on coffee or tea. As soon as we were done, we checked out happy to be leaving. Honestly, the whole ordeal felt stressful instead of restfull and made me feel taken advantage of. I could have had a fully functional, quieter room, and better breakfast at a second rate hotel chain for a lot less money. The next day we went for a nice walk on the beach and headed back to the inn for a nap too make

  Great Valentines Day

  What can I say - the food at the restaurant was excellent, the breakfast (kindly brought to our room up 2 flights of stairs) was great, and the fireplace was romantic. Would definitely recommend, and their Valentines Day package was great value!
