    Great Hotel

The hotel is conveniently situated with access to shops, external restaurants and bars. The staff were friendly and willing to assist. Stayed in room 605 overlooking the valley. The restaurant was self service and the food was varied with plenty for those with larger appetites. The boot room was large with adequate seating and storage. Really enjoyed my stay and would be happy to return.

    Terrible breakfast!

+ Ski room and skibox was good. Two kind of homewine and water at dinner was available for free unlimited. - Breakfast was terrible. First, it was very poor. Second, few days in the middle of the breakfast time, lot of things wasnt available (see at photos). Situation with dinner was little bit better but not good. In our room TV we dont find any chanel in english. In photos hotel looks better than in real life.

Great location ski in ski out

For me location is most important on my ski holiday, and I like to keep the cost low too. Though this year 2020 prices were up 35% making it quite expensive, hoping this is just a blip! Hotel is right by lift, like a 2 min walk and the Les Arcs area is truly great. We paid extra to include whole Paradiski so you can go on double decker gondola across to la Plagne but there was probably no need as Les Arcs is such a big area anyway, maybe a little quieter slopes in La Plagne during busy half term week. Food in hotel was generally perfectly fine, certainly not the best Ive had but Im here to ski not enjoy gourmet food. I did find desserts soon Disappeared and werent replenished and we found it better to eat at 7.00 in evening as soon as it opened. Breakfast was again fine, though hot food was a little poor and European for our taste. Our room was smaller than other rooms I saw but big enough for 2. Bathroom was pretty small and a little dated with shower curtain over the bath, had separate toilet, though this did smell of drains, spoke to reception and they did sort it but the smell was back the following day. I couldnt be bothered to complain again. Beds were comfy and made every day. No safe in the room though. Entry to hotel is very unwelcoming. We found ourself walking down an unlit hallway which smelled of cooking sausages and had no idea where to go as it was dark and couldnt see any signs. The reception is up in the 4th floor ( just find the lift and go to floor 4 when you arrive) and once found things get better. Its quite nice with wooden beams and in the day you have great views of the mountains, likewise for the bar and restaurant. All the staff were friendly. Our room was piste side with bars and restaurants. A few times we were woken by late night revellers so ask for room the other side of hotel or at least a higher floor. Higher floor piste side rooms will have better views too. We were floor 5. I would certainly visit again but I guess more for the great location than the quality of the hotel.

    Hit & Miss

As other reviews highlight, the hotel is ideally located in the centre of 1600, close to shops, cafes and ski lifts. From here you can access the whole Les Arcs resort, which is huge. Plenty to keep you amused all week! We found the room spacious and well equipped, with hot showers and great views of the mountains. The boot room was also very useful for all our gear. More disappointing was the service from some (not all) staff, which reminded us of Fawlty Towers. The hotel seemed understaffed, particularly at meal times, which added to the stress for the ones who were there. Examples - 1. Loud arguments between kitchen staff, 2. Being told at 8.30am during breakfast that there were no mugs as they were "in the wash", 3. Desserts not being replenished, resulting in people hoarding early in the meal, 4. Calamitous confusion when our group ordered paninis at lunch. How hard is it to communicate the order to the kitchen?? To be fair, it didn't spoil our holiday. It was family friendly and we had a great time. The convenience of the hotel was a big plus. You were just left with the nagging feeling that the management of the hotel is complacent because of this.

Top location in centre of village

I had the misfortune to arrive just as France entered Covid lockdown and closed everything so my stay was shortened. The room however was clean and tidy. The location is good. The staff were somewhat caught out by the fast changing situation however, they were all professional and kept us informed of developments. The restaurant functioned well and made remarkably quick changes from one night to the next as Covid problems evolved. I stayed 2 nights instead of 7 and came home. My experience, while different can only be described as professional and competent. I will go back.
