Best value for money for a ski vacation!

Located just 50 meters away from the main lift of Les Deux Alps resort - Jandri express this hotel provided us with everything we needed - tasty food, friendly staff, excellent location and low prices for the location. Food was tasty, various and a lot of it. Wine was unlimited for dinner from a tap. I could see pistes from my room, but there are just 6 rooms like that. There is no parking in the hotel but free public parking is available 50-100 meters away and you shouldn't have problems to find a spot. It's not a big hotel so the bar area was almost empty as it's combined with big entertainment area where you can find some board games and small pool table. I highly recommend it. Just keep in mind that it's a relatively small 2-3 star hotel so don't expect it to provide 4 star hotel amenities and services! Some tips : I booked through Belambra's website and I got better prices and nicer room than my friends who booked through Booking. Could be a coincidence but I believe it wasn't. Ski passes are also a bit cheaper if you buy them with your reservation

You cannot get better in almost every way

This is our second visit to this venue and we believe we even had the same room. The room was a three person room with a double bed and a single bed, it is not oversized but you do not come skiing to spend time in your room. The bathroom has a small bath and a shower integrated with the bath and a shower screen. The bath is not quite long enough for me to stretch out which is a shame as it would be nice to stretch out in a nice hot salt bath after a long days skiing. There is room for a longer bath, but probably for economical and ecological reasons they do not fit a bigger bath. There is a beautiful balcony with chairs. We went on a half board basis and the food was excellent, hold onto your head chef / cook they are an asset to the hotel and make the stay just excellent. At dinner time there is red & white wine on tap and water so you can help yourself. The staff on reception and everywhere we went were faultless and were a credit to the hotel. Everyone went that extra little bit to make our stay just almost perfect. The manager even ordered in extra boxes of tea that my wife loved (Earl Grey Flowers), to take home with us as we tried to buy it after returning from a previous trip and could not, a waitress from the associated restaurant approached the manager after we enquired how we could obtain some . I cannot praise the all the staff from top to bottom high enough. The location is excellent close to the ski school, the main cable cars and the open air 31c swimming pool and ice skating rink, (you can access the pool & rink for free using your ski pass). Ski's and boots are stored in numbered lockers (the same number as your room) in the basement. The only area that there could be a great improvement is that there is no heated boot room so if your ski boots get wet unless you take them upstairs to your room they will stay wet, not the end of the world but not pleasant. So if there is any renovation to be done, consider a heated boot room (twenty years ago I recall some hotels had them), and installing a longer bath in the bathroom, a rainfall shower and handheld shower head would be the icing on the cake. There is a small animation team on one night we did the yoga which was relaxing and entertaining. There was a very informative talk and drink on the first night, where you can talk to representatives from the local ESF Ski School, Paragliding, & Snow Mobiles where the hotel has negotiated a small discount for people who stay at the hotel. For the other evening entertainment we were just too tired, plus on the film night (Little Mermaid) there were no English subtitles . Thank you everyone for a truly fantastic stay, God willing we will be back.

    Very enjoyable stay

Myself and 3 others stayed for a week's skiing in early Feb and couldn't really fault the place. We stayed half board and found the food fine and the free wine with evening meal a nice bonus. The hotel is right on the slopes and the paid for lunch we had there was very good. A slight moan - the boot room is small with limited sitting space and no boot warmers but not a big issue for us really. Evening entertainment wasn't fantastic as we were told to be quiet at 9ish whilst an introduction meeting for the guests was held but we also had a fun karaoke evening in there, possibly because there was only us and some obviously tone-deaf other guests in there. We'd stay again but usually like to try other resorts and hotels but if the holiday organiser said we're back at Belambra again, it'd be 7 out of 10.... absolutely fine. Would recommend

    Super staff!

We arrived in Les 2 Alpes a day before the resort closed due to Cronovirus restrictions. The hotel staff did an incredible job during these unusual times. They did everything they could possibly do to ensure everyones health and safety. They provided many hand sanitizers and a member of the restaurant staff served the food from the buffet. The food was plentiful and very tasty. The management staff warned us that confinement was going to be announced and at this point they told us they would have to close the hotel once we made arrangements to get back home. The receptionist, Laurianne, was exceptional. Without being asked she helped us book a taxi to the train and booked our train tickets for us (even though this took multiple attempts as the SNCF site was timing out). Wed like to thank her for making what could have been a very stressful situation run smoothly. She even emailed us the next day to make sure we had gotten home safely. We were a group of 12 with 4 young kids.
