Ideal location for intermediate to advanced skiers

Stayed here Xmas 2011 and again the week beginning 11th Jan 2020 so knew what to expect and the seven of us were happy to return to this fantastically located hotel. There were two extreme vegans in our group and even they found enough to eat, both at breakfast and again at dinner and we enjoyed the complimentary red wine. Some days, on return from skiing, the hotel provided free drinks and either crepes or waffles - a nice touch, similar to chalets. I've read some ridiculous comments about the hotel but it was good value and yes it's not perfect but if you're an avid skier then you will not want to watch French TV or spend long in the tiny bath nor worry about bath towels which the hotel, if you're environmentally unaware, will change every day. There was always loads of hot water for a shower and the temperature was easily adjustable and steady. There was entertainment in the evening, mostly in French although in 2011 there was more English spoken so at times we were at a loss to understand all that was going on, particularly the animation/show but it was enjoyable, more especially the three piece group from Grenoble who played numerous English based songs. Anyhow, our school level French was enough for most events, whether it be the quizzes or bingo.

    February 2020 ski trip

Great hotel which provides evening entertainment most evenings. Friendly staff, nice food and a fantastic location. Would reccommend this hotel for solo or family. Rooms are basic but sufficient. I would definetly return to this hotel in the future.

My time here was too short!!

Good organised checkin The room is compact with a balcony, no chairs to sit out on 2 single beds pushed together with a sofa bed for a 3rd person or as a sofa 1 pillow each, a hand towel and bath towel each, I asked for a 2nd pillow, this was given with no problem No hairdryer or iron in the room Bathroom has body/hair gel and soap 4 hanging pegs for ski gear and 3 cupboards with shelves and 1 hanging area with about 5/6 coat hangers I tiny table 1shelf No tea or coffee making facilities 2 European plug sockets -we took a small extension plug to charge everything Bedside wall lights and I room light Food was plentiful and tasty we had a good breakfast and evening meal with free wine Sadly we were here only 1 day and 1 night due to covid 19 so we didnt get to ski, but the snow looked amazing The staff were helpful, fun and kind

    Sciclub visit - never again

Worst experience ever made with a hotel. The service was inadequate, food was horrible both at mornings and at evenings, dishes were extremely dirty. Hotel hard to get around in and dinner places with bad acoustics. View from the room was great and amazing.

    Cant beat the location however....

You cant beat the location. Its ski in ski out plus you have the bars and restaurants right on your door step. This would definitely get us going back. However the rooms a basic. This wouldnt be a problem if they provided you with large towels. During a weeks stay we only had a large towel once and the rest was told none available and only hand towels! Food is also to be desired. The breakfast selection is very basic and sometimes very little left if you dont get down early enough. Dinner isnt much better. The food is a very strange mix and is bland! The fondue night including is good and worth booking. The hotel have entertainment which is fine but when the hotel is busy it is difficult to find a space to sit! They need more seating and to get rid of the table tennis and pool table which is taking up valuable space!
