  Parent's Spring Break

  We booked this first visit to St. Lucia through JetBlue. This hotel is nestled above the town of Castries with a view of the ocean. The clientele is primarily British...which was quite fun! Tea in the afternoon and thanks to the "bean bag" players, we learned many" new words and phrases". Great food, beverages, amenities (pools, morning stretch, pool aerobics,afternoon games), evening entertainment and more. We hired Manu to see the island, beaches and sites. You could fill the day or just relax. The staff was "brilliant"! We are very concerned about the people of St. Lucia with the advancement of Covid 19. The staff tried very hard not to burden guests with the fact that the hotel was closing and they would be out of work. The management did their best to keep us aware of the crisis as guests would leave and no new ones would arrive. We highly recommend Bel Jou Hotel and look forward to hearing their continues success!

  Superb Boutique Hotel

  Recently returned from a fantastic holiday at Bel Jou, cannot understand the 3.5 star rating in some of the holiday brochures. Staff, food, rooms are top class. Facilities and entertainment is very good, the only small point is that its not a beach front location, but who cares when you can get their free bus to vigie beach.Photo attached. No wonder they have regulars returning year after year. Brilliant place, management/staff should be very proud.

  Fabulous hotel, fabulous people! Booked for next year!

  We visited St Lucia for the first time in February. Can't fault the hotel in any way. Every last one of the staff were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. Jaffray is a brilliant asset and kept us all entertained! Gideon cooks the best scrambled eggs this side of the moon! Everywhere was immaculately clean. This is a beautifully-run hotel. It is no wonder that a lot of people return year after year. We rarely return to the same hotel as we like variety, but to prove how much we loved this hotel we have already booked for next February and are hopeful that COV19 will be over by then.   A fortnight of pure relaxation

  Cant fault this hotel from start to finish. Staff excellent, food high quality, breakfast omelette cooked in front of you to your requirements and ingredients, this a place to just relax in wonderful settings. The hotel even has it's own garden, well attended with all veg, fruits and herbs marked so you can see what's growing. Evening entertainment very good, really didnt want to leave. Dean, you manage a marvellous hotel and hopefully now this horrid virus is disappearing I hope you welcome many more visitors to this great hotel on a truly beautiful island.

  Thank you Bel Jou!

  We had a lovely stay at the Bel Jou earlier this year, and being some of the last guests at the hotel before it was closed, we were so appreciative of the amazing staff who did everything they could to make our stay the best it could possibly be (particularly in light of the COVID situation which was obviously really troubling for all of those working at the hotel, as well as for guests who were worried about making it home). The staff are a credit to the hotel and really made the experience for us. On top of this the food was varied and delicious, (we liked the a la carte option) and the free shuttle to the beach was a nice touch too! Would say the beach that the shuttle takes you to is nice enough but nothing special (we didnt get the opportunity to visit other beaches). However for those wanting to be close to the town, or on a beachfront I would note that the hotel is quite far up into the hills (a very steep walk from the town). Not an issue for us as we like exploring and venturing out but appreciate it might be for some people. The grounds of the hotel are also quite small for those who like to wonder around and explore (it has more of a boutique feel), although they are beautifully kept! The views out over Castries and overlooking the sea are also amazing, as well as the sunsets. All in all a lovely stay and we can only thank all the wonderful staff for being so friendly and attentive!
