  Clean rooms but totalling lacking in charm

  This hotel has seen better days. The bedroom was clean and functional with a good sized shower room. The dinner however was great and more than made up for my disappointment. Good freshly made local produce with home made desserts. The breakfast was over priced buffet, although on our first night we were the only guests the coffee was cold and the croissants like cardboard. The following night with more guests it was better with more choice. The breakfast room was a sharp contrast to the elegant dining room, a shabby cafeteria with out dated furnishings. The owners although friendly had a very laissez faire attitude with linen and cleaning tools cluttering the bar, not at all welcoming. By all means eat here but don't expect much of the accommodation.

  Lovely old fashioned French hotel

  A delight to stay here. V cheap and if a bit shabby, also v clean. Our room had view of the mountains. Fair size, biggish shower room, lots hot water and wonderful outlook. Service charming, friendly and prompt. The food is just brilliant. Wine good prices. Will certainly come back

  One night stay with evening meal, not recommended

  This was not a nice stay. After a swim in the pool which had mold growing all around the top of the liner we ordered five beers. The beer was undrinkable due to the vinegar acid taste. Either the lines had not been used for a while, cleaned or the barrel was off. We politely informed the manager who did not show any care. The drinks were charged despite not being drank. The evening meal was a disaster. Dirty cutlery and when asked to change for clean there was no apology just a look of displeasure as they had to change them. The food was of poor quality, very small portions and we had to wait 30 minutes between each course with the food never being brought out at the same time for everyone. The waiter dropped a plate of salmon, salad and olives on the feet of two of our friends, he never returned to clean up the mess, after 10 minutes the local dog came to eat it all. The room was clean but was in need of renovation. The carpets in the hotel were dirty. Out of four days of travelling this was our only dissapointing hotel. This hotel has potential but is in need of good management.
