Ok for layover hotelWe had a 16 hour layover and Air China paid for this hotel stay. Small place. Reminds me of old travel lodge type. Room floors were ceramic tile that looked like wood. They were very cold. Beds were like boy scout camp bunk beds ..... 3 inches of foam over plywood. Bed was better than those in CityTel hotel down town. But for a free place to lay down flat between flight from Bangkok and Houston Texas. I was happy to have it. So for a layover it was adequate but I would not recommend it for two or more nights.

Layover hotel chosen by Air ChinaFree transit hotel or hotel paid for by my ticket... take it how you want. Had a 6 hr stay. Was checked in quickly, but staff couldn't really answer my questions well (about wifi and food around the area). Room looked and felt comfortable, some free drinks, toiletries. Had a decent sleep and a decent shower. Connected to wifi, but could not access internet. Back to the 80s for a few hours . Just as I was about to venture into the restaurant, an army of kids went in so I chose to venture out. Seemed to be quite a few ATMs around for cash, but the restaurants were all on the other side of the road. Didn't feel safe to cross the road so went back to hotel. There was a constant cigarette/ burning smell, but opening windows kept this manageable.

too terrible.. . , 90 , . Honestly, I stayed at this hotel because of China Airlines' layover. If you do not anything in Beijing without staying at this hotel, avoid this hotel as possible. There are two reasons. First, they cannot speak English. I think in Beijing, there is no one who can speak English worse than these hotel receptionist. I could not communicate with them even the transportation to the city center. Second, they are NOT honest. Actually, they cheated on me. I wanted to go the city center, Wangfujing. But there is no transportation without taxi, and I asked the hotel for taking a taxi. The hotel asked 150 yuan for me. But when I got off the taxi, I checked that it was ONLY about 60 yuan. 90 yuan is tiny for me, but I'm just angry that they cheated on me.

Convenient free shuttle to airport, but not a good hotelBooked this hotel through the Hotel Information Center at the airport. They described it as being a 4 start hotel, but that is definitely an exageration. Room was a little smelly (didn't appear to be designated non-smoking rooms). Beds were reasonably comfortable, but bathroom left a lot to be desired. There was a hand-held shower head as well as a rain-shower above, but there was not enough water pressure for the rain shower (it just dribbled down in a stream). Also the 'hot' water was just warm enough for a shower. We had to ask for extra toilet paper in the morning. There was free guest wi-fi, but it didn't appear to allow internet access (maybe they just needed to reboot a modem or something, but language was a barrier that prevented them understanding the problem). In the end I (and others) could not connect to the internet. We arrived here fairly late at night (due to cancelled flight to Shanghai) and I went straight to bed. My wife went to the hotel restaurant with some other people from the same (cancelled) flight. From what she said the food was ok with reasonable size helpings at a reasonable price. I thought that the breakfast buffet was ok. Not an enormous selection and nothing was particularly hot. Not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel, but adequate (especially compared to an almost inedible breakfast we experienced at a Shanghai hotel where China Eastern put us up when another flight was diverted there). We decided to move to a different hotel for the following night when flights were still cancelled due to a typhoon. I went for a short walk down to the main road in the morning. There did not appear to be any shop in the immediate vicinity
