  Great service, good location

  We booked this for a weekend away in the area for a staycation. The owner, Peter, is very friendly, helpful and clearly cares a lot about his hotel and pub. The hotel is located about 10 minutes from Tenby, Saundersfoot and Folly Farm, so if you travel by car it's ideal. The room we had was spacious and tidy. With breakfast and parking included, it is great value for money.

  Delicious food

  Absolutely delicious meal here during the eat out to help out scheme. Everything was hot, home cooked and plentiful. Massive portions. Yummy desserts to take away too as too full to eat there but couldn't resist that home made lemon meringue pie! Felt incredibly safe due to social distancing measures being taken, one way system, hand sanitiser readily available and increased distance between tables. Only complaint was the signs about not using mobile phones in the restaurant, I understand the premise behind it but also want to feel relaxed during my meal not feeling like we can't or being told what to do! My other half had to take a works call for less than a minute during our meal and felt like the entire bar was glaring at him! That said, it didn't ruin our experience and we would definitely return.

  Off chance of a table

  Called in on the off chance of a spare table for two, we were lucky and got shown to our table. Well spaced and amazingly spotlessly clean - indeed there is someone cleaning continuously. Order your drinks at the bar and service by a very friendly chatty guy, orders for food taken at the table, very short waiting time, delicious food arrived served by a professional but friendly server. Really enjoyed my steak pie with veg and chips, partner had the faggots which were huge fresh and again delicious. Informed by the manager (we think) they are offering 25% off food mon/tues/wed what a great incentive for tourists and locals alike to visit & support this place. Hygiene seems top of the list which made us feel really good eating there. We will be taking up the generous offer. Thank you to all the staff

  Will definitely go again

  A picture is worth a thousand words and as you can see there was basically nothing left!!! Seriously delicious Sunday lunch, great service from staff, food was cooked to perfection including tender beef and turkey just sorry we couldnt fit in dessert as I loved the sound of the chocolate cake !!

  unfriendly welcome and misleading website

  The hotel website home page clearly states "All rooms are available on a bed and breakfast basis." If you then go on to book, you will get a special offer - and only when you get to the hotel will you find that it does NOT include breakfast. I queried it, only to be told in a rather curt manner "You won't get breakfast for the price that you paid". The hotel website made no mention of no breakfast in the offer price. The rooms were fine, but we suffered a banging noise that went on all night. Would we ever stay there again? - no.
