  Long-time friends respite

  A group of 4 couples who have been friends for over 50 years and live in Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia, decided on a getaway together. What better place than Beechwood Inn could we find? Not possible. So, 2 exquisite days and nights at Beechwood and enjoying the surroundings. Everything was simply perfect: the COVID precautions meet the highest standards, the rooms (Maureen and I had the Savannah suite) are charming and comfortable, the Inn is beautifully decorated and "warm," and the views from the beautiful porch are gorgeous. Wine-thirty on the porch is not to be missed, with Beechwood wine and tasty amuse-bouche. We had a private dinner that was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Service was observant, efficient, unobrusive, and friendly. Dave and Gayle Darugh must be the world's best hosts, and both are certified as "best chefs in America." They are also both professional wine experts. The staff, led by recent addition Emma, was impeccable. What could be better? Rhetorical question -- it doesn't get better than this. Thank you, Dave and Gayle, for a delightful respite.

  Great Getaway

  Really enjoyed staying at this inn for a week getaway. Staff and owners have made the extra effort to be safe for Covid while still providing great service. Breakfasts were delicious and the wine-thirties were a lovely way to spend fall afternoons. Hurricane Zeta passed by while we were staying and knocked out power for much of North Georgia but the innkeepers were well prepared with generators and were able to provide the same quality service. The room was nice and large, with good views and a nice setup. Would love to stay here again.

  Charming inn and innkeepers...great food!

  Took our two teen sons here in late September for a quick getaway. It was their first time staying at a B&B. The property was charming and the Stekoa suite was comfy. The best part of our stay was the food! Both boys loved the appetizers and the breakfasts. We felt safe the entire time despite the pandemic because of the precautions they took. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I wish there were a refrigerator in the room, and that the sofa bed was even. I am not sure if the floor is slanted or if it was the sofa bed, but when the boys lay on the sofa bed, their feet were higher than their heads! They decided to sleep with their heads at the foot of the bed in order to feel more comfortable. Still, I'd recommend this inn and we would gladly return.

  Weekend Getaway

  We enjoyed our stay. Definitely a hidden gem. David and Gayle were extremely nice. The evening wine hour/appetizers were additives before going out to dinner. The morning breakfasts were great. I highly recommend if you truly understand a BB.

  Very clean, quiet, friendly guests, wine-thirty was FUN!

  Went for a romantic get-a-way weekend... had lots of fun during wine-thirty chatting with other couples and David. Very clean (everyone wore masks, sat 6+ feet apart, Clorox wipes in our room), yummy breakfasts (they accommodated my gluten allergy). The Inn keepers put champagne and chocolates in our room for Valentine's Day (loved the gas fire place). We both agreed that we would definitely go back!
