    Open treehouse

A great experience but my boyfriend would have preferred walls. You have roof but apart from that youre totally exposed. We had the lizards and the chip and dale come and steal our nuts. The food in the evening was exceptional, some of the best variety all of our trip. If you struggle to sleep with jungle sounds or creatures in your room this is probably not the place but its an experience you will never forget.

    Fantastic!

Wow! What an amazing place. You can read about the treehouse from other reviews; its an amazing experience and once-in-a-lifetime. We also thought the manager was really lovely. He was really dedicated to us and was very kind. The breakfast is good. We didnt eat dinner because its US$10, which is a lot by local standards (and weve been travelling for a few weeks now and have become used to local prices!). But if breakfast is anything to go by, Im sure the dinner would be good.

    Natural, basic, rustic and fantastic!

Staying in a treehouse here was one of the highlights of our 3 week adventure around the country. The treehouse (ours was double story) was a magnificent place to just stop and hang out in with a beer or two. Watch the peacocks, exotic birds and squirrels during the day, and enjoy your own resident bats and fireflies at night. It was very comfortable to sleep in with no wind coming through and no swaying, as the tree was very strong. This was only bathroom that I have ever used that has decent lighting to look in the mirror (the mirror was almost outside in a tree fork)!!!

Superb! Once in a lifetime experience!

This place is a dream! The best accommodation we got in Sri Lanka! You get to sleep in a proper, real tree house in the jungle! Our tree house had two levels, with a seating area and bathroom with a toilet and great shower, and a second level with a good comfy bed protected with a net. It's an amazing experience and we slept very well at night not being disturbed by any noises or insects, just keep your net well attached to your bed! Also the staff is great, the man who is the manager is a very friendly and interesting person to chat to, he cooked us the best dinner we had in Sri Lanka and a great breakfast the morning after, he also was nice enough to pack the leftovers of our breakfast for us to have it later, because we didn't want to leave it behind as it was so good! If you go to Yala you have to definitely stay here!

    Closed and no booking found

We showed up at the hotel at about 7:30 pm and all the gates were locked and the hotel looked closed. After calling we were told we did not have a booking, after 30 mins at the gate they found our reservation. We were then told we would have to wait in the reception for 30 mins while they get the room ready. We would be the only guests, the hotel was in the middle of nowhere and they had no food to serve and we would have to wait till 9:30 for any food to be served. The staff there did try to rectify the situation but late at night in the pitch black after waiting for a long time we made another reservation and left. Since this was booked through Expedia we did get a full refund from them.
