  Surprise in the City

  Somehow or other, we didn't realize this B&B was in an apartment building. We had a little difficulty locating it because there is no sign. Serenella, our hostess, was a charming, friendly lady who we enjoyed getting to know. Her English was a good as our Italian, so we had fun figuring out what we were trying to say to each other. Our room was very fresh, comfortable, and had a nice view from the balcony. The shared bathroom was down the hall a short distance. Serenella smokes cigarettes, but blows the smoke out her kitchen window and tries very hard to keep the apartment from smelling smoky. It didn't bother us, but if you're sensitive, take note of this. Also, the apartment is up two flights of stairs, so be prepared to haul your luggage upstairs.

  Very friendly and relaxed - thoroughly recommended!

  B&B L'Olimpo is a lovely place to stay in Civitinova Marche. It's in a good location, 5 minutes walk from the beach and not much further to the train station and town centre. The room was very clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. Serenella, the owner, doesn't speak any English and we didn't speak any Italian but despite this we managed to communicate ok! (With the help of a dictionary). Breakfast was traditional with good coffee. There are only two rooms available, so we were the only people staying for most of the 4 days that we were there. A fantastic place to stay if you don't like to be bothered by other tourists!
