  Excellent stay

  I had the occasion to spend some time in this eastern part of France, and found this hotel by happenstance. And I must say I was quite pleased with all the services provided. I have been offered to visit different rooms before choosing mine (201), which was nice because each room is different from the others, each in its own style ... Everyone will find his/her favorite. That gives a good "feel at home" feeling, far from the usual impersonnal and cold feelings of "sameness" you usually get in hotels. As for the food, no problem there at all (I'm quite surpised by the bad review above, it seems we haven't slept or eaten at the same place !), you get the good french food anyone would look for at reasonnable prices - I even got to see the kitchens (something I like to do everywhere I go !), spacious and very clean, so that is definitely another good point for the Beau Site !

  Spring Visit

  I stayed in this lovely hotel for 5 nights with a Coach party. My friend and I had a lovely big room with view out to garden at front of hotel. There was nothing we could fault in the room or bathroom (which was also very big). Our Dinner was OK and the Breakfast was 1st class with beautiful bread etc. Service was also very good and staff very friendly.

  Basic, comfortable and friendly

  I spent a week in this hotel with my husband and 4 month old daughter. We were welcomed into the hotel and the staff were very friendly towards both us and our daughter. We ate at the restaurant on many evenings and enjoyed a varied menu, at very good value. The breakfast was also very good with a good variety of fresh food available, this is not always the case in France. The swimming pool was very good and the communal areas were well maintained. Unfortunately the weather was very warm and with no air conditioning in the rooms it was a daily challenge to cool down the rooms, and the nights were very hot. A fan was provided, but ineffective. The bathroom was basic and no bath was difficult with a 4 month old baby - thankfully we had a paddling pool with us to plug this gap!!

  Cozy

  Nice and cozy hotel, spacious room and good staff. The biggest problem we faced, that no elevator was available at hotel. I had to carry my bags in several installments, to get to room upon check-in and at checkout time!!!

  Full marks for trying!

  Given that Luxeuil is not a wealthy town with lots of wealthy guests, this hotel tries very hard to strike a balance between reasonable prices and quality: Sure there are areas that could be better (there's a lot of renovation and maintenance needed, some ongoing), but the beds are comfy, and the food excellent!
