  Excelente!

  Estuvimos dos noches y nos encantó. Tiene una excelente ubicación. Rodeado de todo lo interesante en Zermatt, pero no en medio de lo más alborotado. Casi a un lado de la iglesia, junto al río y con una vista primorosa al Matterhorn. Las personas en la recepción son muy amables. El desayuno es buffet y bastante bueno. La señorita que atiende en el desayuno también es muy cordial. La habitación que nos tocó (11) muy linda, cómoda, con todo lo necesario para descansar después de haber caminado varias horas. Realmente Zermatt es como sacado de un cuento o de una película y la estancia en el Beau-Rivage es una buena elección.

  Buen Hotel

  Nos hospedamos en este hotel mi esposa mi hija y yo, la verdad es que por un lado la atención fue muy buena por parte de su propietario Max Julen quien nos oriento en donde buscar ayuda para esquiar, la habitación algo comoda, lo único era que al salir al balcón la vista principal era el cementerio que estaba al frente, sin embargo levantabas la vista y tenias las montañas a los lados una vista espectacular, el problema era en la noche que los ruidos de los jóvenes gritando o hablando en voz alta cuando volvían de algún sitio nocturno te despertaban, y era prácticamente toda la madrugada, recomiendo pedir habitación con vista al Matherhorn para evitar el cementerio y los gritos, el desayuno incluido bastante decente, el restaurante que tiene el hotel la verdad es que la comida es Excelente, la carne se derrite en la boca.

  Smaller property offers the best views of the Matterhorn

  This was the second time staying here. There are several rooms that offer the best view of the Matterhorn in the village (only a small percentage of hotels offer unobstructed views of this awe inspiring mountain). Extremely well located (less than a block off the main street) and only a 4 minute complementary electric shuttle ride from the train station. Next to the glacial stream, we love to sleep with the windows cracked to hear the babbling Vispa River. Very good European breakfast is included. The friendly staff will prepare made to order eggs. The breakfast room is pleasantly small and affords a glimpse of the Matterhorn. Helpful staff (including former Olympian, Max Julen) worked with us as we stayed at this smaller boutique property which has recently remodeled the bathrooms.

  Centrally Located, Very Nice, and fully equipped

  We stayed in suite 22 with our daughter. It was very clean and well maintained. The bedroom and living space both had an excellent view of the Matterhorn. The room was warm and spacious! Both spaces also had their own TV. The cable service cut-out every 10 minutes or so for 5 or 6 seconds at a time, but i can't fault the hotel for that, it was probably a provider issue. The WiFi was fast enough for each of us to be posting to the web and reading about what was going on back home. The master bedroom was nice even though Europeans still haven't figured out that couples prefer a Queen over two singles pushed together, each having their own duvet. It had nice access to the balcony and a window into the bathroom which made my daughter uncomfortable. Curtain on the bathroom window were provided, but the sliding glass window allowed all sounds to pass freely. There were plenty of places in the living room to store our clothing, but the master bedroom had none, which meant we had to fetch our clothes. My daughter slept on a Murphy bed that she thought was novel. The bathroom was the best we have had yet. Plenty of water pressure, clean Jacuzzi tub, Heated towel rack (a little flaky - play with the switch till it works). Two sinks! Window into Master Bedroom... previously mentioned. The Hotel provided breakfast which was awesome. Eggs and ham or bacon cooked to order, yogurt, breads, cheeses, fruit, and cereals were available. The workout room had a stair-master, a treadmill and weights, but who needs those after a day on the slope? It did advertise a Jacuzzi, but it wasn't much better than the one in our bathroom, so never tried it. The sauna was good for hurting muscles! It was a ten-minute walk up hill to the Matterhorn Express lift, if you didn't want to wait around for the bus, and we never wanted to wait. There is a 4-star restaurant that we visited on New-Year's eve. All the staff were friendly and conscientious. The food was great, but a typical since they usually cook the food over an open fireplace grill.

  One of Many to Choose From....

  Family run very small chalet style hotel! I believe only like 14 rooms! The larger rooms of course face the Matterhorn and the smaller rooms including the single room where I stayed, face a cemetery. Pretty view regardless! Unfortunately, there is lots of construction happing around. Right next door, the workers start bright eyed and very early. There is a crane there too and then past the cemetery straight ahead another crane with an active construction site. The shower was tiny, and the products smelled horrible. Also very large sink leaves zero counter space, simple furniture but served general purpose. That aside everything was Swiss clean! If and when you did see someone, the staff / family were polite and friendly. I believe they live somewhere within Zermatt area. They can pick you up and drop you off at the train station. Convenient for luggage purposes! Location was fabulous!! Walking distance to everything! Delicious Italian coffee and bakery right outside the front door. Thats were I ate breakfast. Would return for location!
