  A gem in the wilderness

  Had a terrific stay at the Bear Track Inn. Beautiful room, great staff and a off the charts dinner every night. This is a wonderful place to stay if you want to go out and explore the countryside and come back to a comfy and friendly atmosphere.

  It just doesnt get any better

  Ive stayed at the Bear Track Inn several times, most recently in July 2020. My most recent trip was as pleasurable as my past trips. This place knows how to do it right. The food, accommodations and staff are a Ten plus plus on the rating scale. No better place to visit and stay. Im looking forward to my next visit in June 2021.

  The perfect home away from home for our Glacier Bay tours!

  The entire staff was really attentive and very caring. We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. Our tours to Glacier Bay were outstanding. Wild-life viewing and fishing in the Bay were fantastic. Janie, the owner, along with her family and staff work very hard to give their guests an excellent Alaska experience.

  Extraordinary service and experience

  My wife and I were one of the first tourist to visit Alaska in June 2020 just after the covid pandemic set in. We had to make adjustments and reservations as everything was canceled several times over. Janie at the Bear Track Inn and employees went over and above helping us to visit Glacier Bay National park after the National park lodge and Glacier Bay boat service canceled. Basically everything was shutdown and Janie was able to get us travel in and out of Gustavus and was instrumental with setting up whale watching and glacier bay excursions. Service and lodging at lodge was outstanding and setting was on the edge of Glacier Bay was heaven like. Thanks Janie and Mary for all your great work in making our stay a very memorable experience.

  comfort and care

  Janie, Mike, and the rest of the staff took care of my family from the beginning - helping us plan (pre-Covid) fun adventures in Gustavus and broader Juneau, finding alternatives (during pandemic), feeding us amazing food in the gorgeous kitchen, leading us in exploring the rainforest, letting us take their sweet dog Bandit on a hike, and sharing gear and snacks on excursions. Besides the staff, the lodge and grounds make you feel at ease.
