  Great Location - Serious Aircon Issues and roof terraces poor - seaview missleading

  We stayed in March 19 with several family members. The location was good, enjoyed the pool but issues with the aircon and desk service let the place down. The aircon in several of the rooms the family used simply didn't work. When reported to the front-desk absolutely nothing was done. We had to try to sleep in 30 degree heat in the bedrooms for several nights. The roof terraces are stark concrete with just the hot exhaust from the few working aircon condensers. Although the rooms face the sea, you can't see it due to the tall trees in front of the hotel. I would have rated it higher but the poor desk service when reporting airon faults just wasn't good enough. Why run a hotel with bedrooms too hot to sleep in?

  Excellent week at Beachcomber

  We stayed for 5 nights at Beachcomber as a family of 5. Lovely & spacious for us in the 3 Bedroom Penthouse. A great view from the patio upstairs too. Location to the beach was fantastic and a small stroll to The Wharf for meals. Kids enjoyed the pool which is heated however is on the smaller side for larger amounts of people but fine for the 5 of us. We plan to be back and would easily recommend to others.

  They robbed us.

  Near the end of our stay my two years old daughter broke a (really thin) window. They charged us 300 dollars, which seemed fair. They gave us a receipt and we left the hotel. One week later they charged us with 200 more dollars. We asked the manager (Don) why, and he answered that it was because they had to buy a thicker window. We said that it was not for us to pay a better window. He gave the most amazing answer, I cite literally: "Realistically if your daughter hadnt broken the glass there would have been no need to replace it." Afterwards I had to block my credit card because nothing was going to stop him from taking more money.

  A great little resort. Please support

  I have been staying here for just on 8 weeks whilst working on the Sunshine Coast during COVID lockdown. This is a fantastic property that has more than met my needs for work and would be great for a holiday. The perfect location is right on the beach and near the ocean walkway, but very private. The property is well appointed and maintained in excellent condition. My unit is newly renovated, clean quiet and comfortable. The on-site manager has been very friendly and helpful with a few small issues that I have had with the unit, which has been amazing during some very stressful times for accommodation managers on the coast. I have really appreciated this the most. This would be a great place to weekend or holiday, so please support this property if you get a chance, especially post lockdown. You won't be disappointed.

  wonderful

  Beachcomber On The Spit is the perfect spot to stay in Mooloolaba, situated right on the beach with just the boardwalk between you. No busy road to cross and the beach is much quieter down this end. Rooms and facilities are amazing, very clean and tidy with all the amenities. The pool is fantastic, with all day sun. Judy is divine she is so kind and lovely to deal with. I highly recommend staying at Beachcomber on the Spit. Bridget
