One More TimeYet another great time at BIR. Super beach time, time with other BIR regulars, and a fantastic space launch. The classic beach resort was super lush with spring colors. Sherrie and John as wonderful as ever. Thx you two! Will be back next month. Dave and Dotty Klopfenstein

Hidden hideawayThis is a funky fifties hideaway that is just basic and close to the beach. There is a pool that is oh so welcome on a hot day. The resort is beach side with a short walk through the sand to the water.

Really loved this place butWe really loved this place. Cool, laid-back 50's vibe. However, we were there in May and was during lovebug season. Had never heard of these bugs before and we basically spent 3 days in our unit. This was our time away that we work hard for and was sad and disappointed. Was a hastle to even walk from unit to the car. Spent most of our time inside stores. Last morning there the bugs almost gone but we had to catch our flight. Did research on these bugs. Really advise staying away in late April/early May or in September. Really wish we could have been warned about this. Will be going back in November.

"Bates Motel II" Timeshare Story Nightmare30 minutes prior to check-in, we called resort, John said he would leave door unlocked and keys on table unit 102. We arrived, parked in only available parking space. Walked into 102, it was one bedroom, very small, our reservation was for 2 bdrm. As we were walking out to go check-in, Sherry came running over at us, "what are you doing in there, you can't be in there". We explained we were checking in and should have 2 bdrm. Sherry said that our 2 bdrm was 120. She then said that parking was limited, since they have 16 units, only 13 pkg spaces, if no spots open, there is a parking lot a block away for $10/day. Since we would be having friends stay with us for 2 nites, and we would be returning late after dining out, we would not want to pay for off-site parking. Sherry suggested we call call RCI to check if we could get into another timeshare. Sherry took us to unit 120, said we could call RCI from there, even said we could call from room phone, "just dial 9". Within 5 minutes of her saying this, John came charging at unit 120 and us, screaming "get the f--- off of my property, get the f--- out of here now, I'm going to call the f---ing police". Then John screamed at me and began poking his finger into my chest and every other word out of his mouth started with F. He made a disparaging remark that he could tell "that you are too good for this place" He reeked of alcohol, apparently heavily intoxicated. This was the first time in many years that I felt that I and Debbie(recently had both knees replaced and back surgery) were in eminent danger of being attacked. I considered filing a police report at the time, may still. Anyone considering this resort, do so with caution. We have been timesharing since 1982, never, never, never, have we experienced anything close to this in such a a blatant unprofessional, uncaring, and to put it bluntly, intoxicated and aggressive manner. Maybe we caught John and Sherry on a terrible day, maybe not!!!

This was the perfect place for our vacationWe cold not have been happier. It fit our expectations and budget perfectly. The room was neat and clean. It is an "older" facility, but the place is well taken care of. Sherri and John were so accommodating to our needs. The beach in early March was almost ours alone. If you want private and peaceful, this is the place to go. Do not expect daily service to your room. You are pretty much left alone and can get what you need when you need it. The kitchen and bathroom is good enough to take care of what you need but it is simple, small. Just what we expected and needed to have a fantastic stay with people that take care of their guests needs. The pool and spa are clean and heated.
