  Great place to stay

  Booked this place for a business trip, the outside of the pub looks really old and needs painting. The stairs are creeky going up to the rooms but once I entered room 9 (deluxe king room) I was really surprised, a newly renovated room along with old style windows really goes well together. The 'room' turned out to be a 3 room (Lounge room, bathroom & bedroom) apartment,. The only thing missing was a heater in the bedroom or air conditioner with heat option. I highly recommend this hotel, the rooms are nearly completely sound proof!

  So handy when staying in Burnie.

  We stayed here one night this time. There were 3 of us and we were lucky enough to get a room looking out to the ocean.The room is quite comfortable with everything you need for a short stay. The free wi fi kept dropping in and out which was annoying. There is some parking available but at busy times you may have to park elsewhere.The meals downstairs are more than adequate and not too badly priced. Complimentary continental breakfast is amazing.

  A very pleasant surprise

  We called in at the last minute hoping for a room. At first glance from the outside we were not sure how it would be, but from the moment we were greeted by the receptionist we were treated wonderfully and nothing was too much trouble. We were shown the rooms, which were all fabulously refurbished and extremely comfortable, light, warm and super clean. The breakfast delivered to our room was more than enough and very fresh. Thank you to the wonderful staff. One of our favourite nights in Tasmania.

  A little let down this time.

  Stayed here as we have many times before. Usually we are very happy with it but this time around we were a bit let down. We could not access Foxtel, it just kept saying bill needed to be paid. The breakfast was complimentary but we weren't given what we had ticked and we had no cutlery so had to spread toast and eat cereal and fruit salad with the teaspoon that was in the room. The wi fi password didn't work and we did mention this to waitress when we got our meals but she didn't seem concerned. After repeated tries we did get on. I must say our meals and drinks were very nice.

  This place is such a convenient place to stay

  This is a great place to stay as it is within walking distance to the cinema, Mallee Grill, shopping etc. The rooms are always very clean. We had a room with a balcony which was nice to sit on and look at the ocean. If you are looking at using the free wi fi be warned, you are lucky if you can access it. Every time we have stayed here we have only been able to access it very intermittently.All in all it has everything to make your stay comfortable. Parking can be hard at times though
