Spacious room, great location, friendly staff

I have stayed in Asakusa before and love the neighbourhood. The hotel was fantastic - the staff were very friendly and helpful, my room was huge by Tokyo standards and spotlessly clean, the bed was super comfortable. The hotel is adjacent to several subway stations and lots of sights and restaurants etc in walking distance. Highly recommended! I'll stay here again on my next trip.

    Fabulous

The perfect location, plenty of restaurants, temple nearby. But, still relatively quiet. Hardly any car traffic in the area, all pedestrian. Room was massive by Tokyo standards. Kitchenette and washer/dryer came in very handy. Seemed very new building. Front desk helpful, spoke fair English. Subway stop about 5 minute walk. Only slight negative was bed a little too firm for my liking, but others might disagree. Ask for a high room overlooking the temple.

    This place is perfect.

The location, the room, the staff, the value. This place was a perfect home-base during my solo trip to Tokyo! It was close to all the nearby temples, restaurants (and Don Quixote!) as well as many train stations, but it was so, so quiet! I felt very safe staying there on my own as well, and it was nice to have a place to make small meals and have snacks in the fridge. The room was immaculate, and having a washer/dryer was very handy as this was towards the end of a two-country trip. Also, let's talk about the epic shower that was instantly hot with the best water pressure. Sigh. I have dreams about this shower still. I skipped the included meals and picked up stuff for breakfast from the nearby 7-Elevens and other restaurants instead. I'm already planning on staying here the next time I visit Tokyo with my boyfriend. For the price, you cannot beat this ryokan.

    Wonderful location, great hotel

This was the best hotel I stayed in Tokyo (I changed 3). Great value, large rooms, full kitchen and washer/dryer in the room! Price was amazing, I paid less than other hotels that with the excuse of having an Onsen charge an arm and a leg. This is in the center of Asakusa but its not noisy at all. Also rooms are new, and the staff at the reception speaks English! Highly recommended.

    Simply Perfect

This hotel had truly been wonderful to stay in while we had been in Tokyo. The Asakusa area that it is located in, is a fun spot to explore with lots of shops and places to eat. It is close to either the Ginza or the Asakusa subway stations. We stayed here for over a week during our trip to Tokyo, and the room had been quite large compared to other places we had stayed in Japan. Plenty of closet space to store things. Having the washer/dryer in the room was extremely useful, especially since it had been the height of the August heat. The staff, especially the front desk, are extremely friendly and helpful. When our planned hike to the summit of Mt. Fuji went awry due to a typhoon, the woman at the desk called the hut we had booked to stay at on Mt. Fuji and explained the situation. We would never have been able to explain everything without her help. I highly recommend this hotel.
