  Travellers to France something you need to know

  This is the B&B redefined . If you are looking for convenience, no frills, and excellent value read on, if you want someone to carry your bags to your room stop reading (unless you brought someone along for that purpose!). Rooms are spotlessly clean, beds perfect (for me) if you want adjustable bed firmness it's not here. Rooms have TV -funny but all in French- more plugs than you can handle, excellent shower and washing facilities. Be warned you 300-lb boys and girls the room (I was in) is smallish compared to the US. Breakfast 6/Euro what a bargain. Tea, coffee, toast juice, yogurt the list goes on. This is an excellent value place, with a dynamite concept for business travellers and those on holiday / vacation.

  A cut above your average budget chain hotel

  We use the B&B chain quite a bit whilst traversing the continog - over the years the price has climbed slightly above budget levels but although we dip in and out of other chains B&B offer the quality/price ratio that suits us. Evry Lisses 2 was a delight to use. A fairly quiet location compared to many, a warm, charming and professional welcome, spotlessly clean and in this case obviously fairly recently refurbished. Several restaurants within a five minute walk as is a mahoosive Ikea and a bus stop that will take you to the RER train into Paris central. Our room cost 42 for the night which is expensive compared to, say, Travel Lodge, but there are offers for weekend stays and so on. Wifi worked in the room - no need to go down to the lounge. Hard to get sufficient volume on the new television. One bedside light not working. Recommended. Top tip. Make sure the rooms previous occupant hasn't left a television alarm call set for silly o'clock

  Basic hotel - but absolutely OK!

  I stayed at the B&B Number 2 hotel in Evry Lisses for two nights as a base for attending the nearby La Ferte Allais Air show. I paid 90.40 euros for two nights bed and breakfast. It is about 30 minutes from Paris Orly airport but not easy to find! I was glad I took my car sat nav to plug into my rental car. The hotel is in a quiet road right by the large IKEA store - and once you leave the A6 at Junction 9 signed to Lisses, following signs for IKEA is the easiest way to find it! Confusingly road signs point to Evry and the Lisses - but never both. The hotel has small clean basic rooms with tiny bathrooms and showers. Liquid soap and towels are provided, but no hairdryer. The small room had a desk, a good number of power sockets, a large window that you could open and a comfortable bed with a continental quilt and an extra pillow. There was limited hanging space and shelves but no drawers or cupboards. Wifi access was free and uncomplicated but a bit variable in signal strength. The hotel does not have a restarurant but there are several close by and the nearest gives a 15% discount for hotel guests. Breakfast was a self service affair downstairs by reception with coffee and hot water for tea, hot food if you wanted it (but it had run out when I arrived) rolls, cereals, bread, juice, yoghurts and croissants. It wasn't anything special but was perfectly adequate. There is a useful vending machine by reception with snacks drinks and chocolates but you need euro coins to use it. The reception staff spoke a little English and were really friendly and helpful too. All in all a decent place to stay and perfect for my needs. But don't come expecting a special experience!

  Good value for money

  Sticking to the B&B style this hotel is good value for money, but as some people have noted, they really must ban smoking in the hotel and need to pay more attention to the room cleaning. Low cost is Ok, but there is no excuse for a badly cleaned room. Breakfast is acceptable for the price in this type of hotel but do not expect too much. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

  two hotels in one

  two hotels under one reception meant we stood outside for a while but when in they stored our bikes gave us a nice clean room and a standard breakfast. Hot showers and everything we needed for a one night stay.
