  Shower was a health hazard

  We have used B and B hotels all through France and most have been good value for money - not this one! On entering our room I had to stand on a chair to hook the curtain back on the rail as it was hanging off and left the view into the room open to anybody passing to reach their own room. We had noticed a drain smell when we opened the door but just accepted it as the room not being used for a while. When we used the bathroom the toilet seat was fixed to one side and the toilet bowl was certainly not white, with dark stains at the back. Trying to use the shower, I struggled to get in and out as the shape of the basin situated against the screen actually impedes the already small space to step up into the deep shower tray. Worse came when when the water took 10 minutes to drain from the shower and we realised the plug hole was thickly blocked with black hair and scum. There was mould on the ceilings, in the grout of the tiles and dirt encrusted around the soap dispenser. We were so tired we left our complaint about the shower until we left in the morning. Management response was I understand no apology....... We will not stay at this hotel again and would strongly recommend that others avoid it until cleaning and updating is done.

  Not up to B&B usual standard

  Of the B&B hotels I have visited over many years this one falls far below the group's usual standard. The rooms are minute and the shows are nort really suitable for elderly people. Also they are not air conditioned. On this visit (our first in more than a decade) the room we were viven had a broken bedside light just hnaging by it's wires and the toilet was nit clean, We were givena different room at the back of the hotel but closer to the motorway.Breakfast was a bit if a disaster, At 8am the overcooked and tough bacon and the scrambked egg were both stone cold . I need to find a different hotel in this area

  getting better over the past few years

  so handy for the peage and an easy drive from chunnel or ferry its just 1 mile off the road- up the hill from Bricolage. i arrived at 5 but the manager was off -maybe in the loo- but booked in using the "atm" type machine outside -tip SAVE the code in your phone for this -it's not just after hours its useful. The rooms have had an upgrade and the pink shower loo thing has gone-far better now. The heating had me perplexed -open the right side panel on the heater to access the control - then try and figure it out! Usual vending machine snacks so take food with you or if you must the Grill place is a quich walk .Will sleeyphere again !

  Helpful reception staff

  Stayed one night on way home during lockdown! We needed to leave early for the tunnel and the lady on reception very kindly got the baker to deliver early so we could have a breakfast in a bag to take with us. Typical french budget hotel, clean but small room but perfectly adequate for a night. Only about half an hour from the tunnel.

  Standard and very clean

  Fairly standard b and b hotel which does what it says on the tin. Very clean which was good and well placed from the main autoroute if you're using the channel tunnel. Safe parking too. About a 30 minute walk into town. Would have given 3.5 if I could. Main downside was room was smaller than other b and bs I'd stayed in. Breakfast basic - given covid it was served in a bag so a lot less than usual (for the same price)
