Fun, friendly and mighty fine! One night stay while heading south and no complaints here. The rooms are clean, with comfortable beds, air conditioning and great shower. No English tv but hey ho it is in France. We had a dog with us and he was made very welcome and could run around as the perimeter is fenced . Breakfast was nice and staff were brilliant. Bar was very accommodating. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby along with Burger King, Mackie Dees, subway etc. Will be back!

Not as good as others in the chain. We have used this chain before for overnight stops when travelling in Europe with no problem. On this occasion it was not good. Very surly receptionist, more concerned with his phone than the customer. I had to go down to reception to ask about Wi-Fi code;told me it was on my check-in slip. It wasn't. He then pointed to a label on the back of his computer and I copied down the code. All this without looking up from his phone. When asked where the vending machines were I was told they didn't have any despite the information in the room saying that they did. Breakfast was ok but not up to the standard of other hotels in the chain we have visited before. Our biggest concern, however, was an incident later on in the evening. For the first time ever we brought our two grandchildren with us. They shared a room opposite ours. When I went to check on them after they had gone to bed I was unable to gain access to the room. They, very sensibly, had locked the door from the inside. What neither we,nor they, realised was that this entering the code was useless as the door could not be opened if the inside lock had been flicked over. Despite knocking and calling my grandsons mobile I couldn't get a response. I went to reception and asked them to open the door for me. Different receptionist came upstairs with me but couldn't open the door. He said, with a shrug of the shoulders, they'd locked it on the inside so he couldn't get in and they were probably just asleep. He left. One sleepless night followed. Our grandchildren woke up early thank goodness and ready for breakfast. Very worrying. WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE'S A REAL PROBLEM? ILLNESS? ACCIDENT? FIRE? A major safety concern and the staff don't seem to care. Will not use this chain again.

Good overnight stopWe were only there for 6 hours but it was a good value overnight stop. The room was clean. The whole hotel is smoke free and there was no smell of smoke. The bed was both large and comfortable. We did not use the WiFi but a code was given on check in.

Cheap but cheerfulIve just returned from a four-night stay in Bethune with two friends. Originally I had booked another hotel but on reflection felt it was too expensive and decided to book Citotel B and Im very glad I did. There are no great frills but its functional and when you are just using it to shower and sleep before going out for the day its ideal. Its located opposite Bethune station if you fancy journeying by train rather than car. Its also about a 10-minute walk from the towns main square. Generous breakfasts, clean and friendly service. Just dont expect bells and whistles.

SIMPLE BUDGET CHAIN HOTEL - IDEAL FOR NIGHT STOPThis is a straightforward B&B Chain hotel. Good for overnight stop if in transit, although was a little tricky to find - Satnav is required. Parking is dedicated and off street, and appears to be secured overnight. The reception was manned at 2000, efficient, friendly, and spoke French and English. The room is as you woul dexpect for a chain at this price level: adequate in size, modern, clean, with a comfortable bed, TV, wifi, decent shower etc, but not much more. Hotel was quiet overnight - there is no road noise etc. We didi not take breakfast, so cannot comment. In summary - ideal for a night stop, or as a base for battlefield tours etc.
