  A clean motel

  B&B Hotel Beaune Nord is more of a motel than a B&B or hotel. The rooms are small and very plain, the bathrooms tiny, but it is fine if you just need somewhere to crash for a night. All things considered, it was fine and definitely cheap and cheerful, but with very little space in the room to move around or put stuff. The bathroom is also tiny (I actually think the bed was bigger that the bathroom). The shower didn't drain well, but there was plenty of hot water and the water pressure was good. A place to stay if you are on your way through Beaune or on a very budget (you really get what you pay for), but not close to the city center.

  Surprisingly good!

  3 adults searching for a cheap room for 6 nights in Burgundy is not an easy task. We already had a best value for money experience in B&B Sud 2 in the southern part of Beaune some years ago, but this time it was full. So we tried B&B Nord, just in the beginning of the Beaune - Dijon route. It is really easy to check in if you have already booked (e.g. using TA or Booking). There is an ATM like machine just outside the door, so you can enter your 6digit reservation number and the rest is done automatically. There is a receipt paper printed, where you can also find your room number and another number that acts like a key for the car parking door, the hotel main entrance and your room number. If you arrive at night, like us, the parking door will be locked, so you can use your Booking reservation number to open it. The hotel building is newer than B&B Sud 2, it has a quick elevator and a nice vending machine next to the reception. There is even a microwave oven to cook the vending machine food. The staff is very friendly, they either speak English or they are very patient with your poor French. Cleaning service in the rooms took place on a daily basis. We had clean towels and our beds were made every morning. The rooms are tiny in B&B hotels and for that reason we had booked a 4bed room for the 3 of us. It was huge for the B&B standards, so I strongly suggest you do so if you need some space or if you plan staying for more than one night. The bathroom was more than OK, with nice hot water and no clogged drains. There is only liquid soap put in the shower cabin wall, so if you want shampoo or soap bring your own. The rooms are fully airconditioned and you can adjust the temperature and the fan speed by yourself. Our main concern was the hotel's location (too close to the motorway) but despite the fact that our room was actually facing the autoroute, it was really quiet. Talking about noises, the walls are paper thin and paper strong. So when our neighboring room was occupied by 3 kids and a mother...we thought the building would collapse. My bed was rattling each time they hit the wall, a little scary way to wake up at 7am. To conclude, I would stay there again, as long as they keep low prices. P.S.1 Take earplugs with you if you are a light sleeper. P.S.2 Bunk beds are shorter and narrower than the standard single beds. 1.86cm male won't fit easily.

  Good, cheap overnight stop

  Like many others, we chose this hotel to break up the journey from the Channel ferry to our holiday destination in Italy. The two main reasons were; 1.Location. Right next to motorway and hypermarket (cheap fuel) 2. Price. Family of four in one room with private bathroom. However, the bonus was the town of Beaune which is beautiful. Park for free at the ring road and then walk the short distance to the town centre. Summer evening eating al fresco watching the world go by. The hotel has secure parking and vending machines in the lobby if, like us, you are up too early for breakfast. Also, the rooms are small but functional, air conditioned and have good showers. Basically, you get what you pay for.

  Cheap but clean and comfortable

  Not disappointed as it was cheap but comfortable and clean. No noise from the road. Breakfast for cheap price as well. We will come back and recommend it for a break around Beaune. Close to Courtepaille (4 min to drive).

  An cheap, but good overnight stay on my way to the Alps

  We, four friends and myself stayed here one night on our way to the French Alps. We all got a clean room, a good bed, an OK breakfast and a private parking for a cheap price. As the hotel has no restaurant (understandable for this room price) , you need to go out by foot/car for your dinner
