DisappointmentThe room we booked was unavailable for the first two nights of a 5 night stay, having been given to other customers. Breakfast was depressing - the bread offered had an expiry date of Dec 28/16. One coffee pod per person per day for the machine. Cereal but no bowls. We followed the example of other guests and bought meat, fruit and cheese for breakfast. We were there late Oct-Nov. Location was excellent. Manager was very helpful. The first room we had was equipped with a whirlpool bath. It was high and entering was difficult. After two nights we switched to the balcony room. It had a walk in bath. At 4:30 in the morning, the new occupants of the room we had vacated decided to use the whirlpool. It sounded like a jet engine for almost 20 minutes. Although the rooms feature a safe for your use, it is not attached to anything and I found although large (like a shoe box) it was totally portable and not what I would consider secure. The managers were able to arrange transportation to the b&b at the same cost as a flat rate taxi from the airport. It was convenient and appreciated.

UnacceptableAVOID THIS HOTEL. Wish we had listened to the most recent reviews below. We arrived late due to a flight delay and the hotel refused us access and refused to take our calls. We were then advised via Hotels.Com we would be given access for the remaining 3 nights so we arrived again the next day at the hotel at the time they specified only to be left waiting over and hour and then refused access again. The owner refused all calls from us and Hotels.com. They sent someone else and tried to fob us off with an inferior room with a shared bathroom in an apartment 7 floors down. This hotel is taking bookings from customers and then refusing entry on arrival for the first day or two and booking the room out to someone else. They are then offering you a room in an inferior apartment worth half the price you have paid. We had to book and pay for another hotel as a result of this. This experience ruined our holiday and we are still dealing with the fall out from this.

Close to the VaticanWe had a very pleasing stay. The room was a little smaller than we expected but as we didn´t spend too much time in the room it wasn´t a big deal. There are little cafes in the street and a couple of convenience stores and also a bar. The vatican and its museums are a short stroll away. The balcony is small but pleasant and we had coffee there each in the morning while enjoying a lovely view of St Peters Cupola a short way away We were with our 2 young children so having the use of the kitchen was priceless as we could clean bottles and prepare snacks for the kids. Keep juice and milk in the fridge etc. We were given vouchers each morning to take breakfast across the street in a little cafe. Each voucher allowed you a coffee or juice and a very nice fresh cake. We don´t usually eat cake for breakfast but somehow it just worked here. Also there is a coffee machine in the hotel which made lovely fresh coffee which we enjoyed each morning. The room was changed daily and everything was spotlessly clean. The Vatican museum is about 10 minutes walk and the Basilca another 10 minutes. We walked everywhere for 3 days and everything in Rome can be seen on foot if you have the time. Just buy a map and off you go.. We also bought a metro ticket for two days which was 25 euros for two adults (kids free). A one day ticket is 7 euros or a single journey ticket 1 euro 50 and you can use your ticket on any bus or train in Rome. We went out to Ostia one morning to go to the beach so our ticket was good value. Don´t expect to see much of the hotel management. We saw them on the first day at check in then never saw anyone again during our 5 day stay but if you had a problem you could reach someone by phone or messenger.Only downside was that our room was on the 9th floor which of course we knew when we booked but the lift is very small and being a family of four with pushchairs we could not all fit in the lift at the same time All in all though a pleasant stay and we would recommend.

Worst b&b everWe booked it as a B&B but the NEW OWNERS jyst do rent rooms now. So no breakfast. At arrival no explication given ( airco, safe???) The was a light blanket and 1 small pillow. We were cold at night. We had to communicate throug e-mail and I asked another blanket but they cdid no effort. Till 11:45pm people were laughing, talking in hallway and kitchen, I asked 2x to be more quiet that we tried to sleep...the last day we iund out that one if those guys was the new owner Also the bathroom was not clean . Avoid this place it is to expencive for just a room.
