  Fantastic Location

  Ideal location, mid lake, ideal for visiting Bellagio and Varenna, plus Villas Balbianello & Carlotta, and right beside a little passenger ferry terminal. Our room was clean and comfortable, if basic. Pity that the air conditioning was turned off (by law apparently) the week before our arrival, with the result that our room was 28C during the night! As the extremely busy main road round the lake was right underneath, we couldn't leave the window open at night if we wanted to sleep. The hotel did provide us with a fan, which at least circulated the hot air. We stayed on a half board basis, but not as part of one of the coach groups, and the food was plentiful if pretty awful. The pasta & pizza bistro was unfortunately closed and the karaoke "artiste" in the bar put us off dining in the empty street-side restaurant. It was obviously the end of a very busy season and although the dining room staff were helpful enough when asked, didn't speak or smile unless spoken to, and the barman didn't have the ingredients for three of the cocktails I selected from his list. In all, the hotel is not fantastic, but the location and the view from the balcony in our room made up for all its shortcomings, and we enjoyed a wonderful week on Lake Como.

  Amazing hotel

  Stayed for a week 1st till 8th Feb. Views are just lovely, room was very spacious and clean, had a room at the back overlooking the pool, very quite with nice views. All staff at the hotel were very friendly. Food self service and lots to choose from. Lovely bar overlooking the lake. Did lots of walks, bus outside the hotel if you need to go further.. A wonderful week and would recommend to anyone wanting a holiday on lake como..

  Great Week

  My daughter and I have just had a great week at this hotel. On arrival our allocated room was at the rear and by the lift, very noisy. A small fee elevated us to a lake view balcony room which was amazing. Sitting on the balcony in shirtsleeves in February? For the standard of Hotel the food was excellent, an amazing salad bar at lunch and dinner with the tenderest roast beef of all time. Two pasta dishes, two pizzas plus soup, then three or four main dishes with plenty of veg. If I wanted to nit pick I would have preferred rice occasionally or straight pasta. The bar is well situated and comfortable but the staff are a bit tardy. The area is amazing with plenty of walking, regular local buses and ferries.

  Beautiful holiday to Lago di Como

  Stunning views, great culture, unforgettable holiday, super friendly staff, Good English spoken when my Italian failed me, food in the area was fantastic, local bakery canoli were delicious. Grazie per tutti.

  Incredible!

  This hotel is absolutely wonderful, I dont understand how its not 5 stars. The room was super clean, the WiFi was very good and the ac was very powerful. The view was even better, the view of the lake and how beautiful it was. The swimming pool was pretty nice too! Big and spacious. If I ever come back to Tremezzo, this will be my hotel to go to. My only problems were the waiting time to get into my room (considering I went with Shearings and the coach arrived 2 hours before the check in time) and the cleaners not able to speak English. Those are not big problems and I can deal with them very easily. However, if you want to go to another hotel in Tremezzo, Hotel Britannia is also a great option, and you can go to either hotel for dinner if you are staying in either one of them which is a nice touch. I fully recommend this place, please stay there!!!
