Great Sea ViewThis review is not for the hotel but the C lounge. The location is amazing with a great view of the Mediterranean the lounge is specialised in serving finger food and cocktails. the atmosphere is great and the service is very good. Overall recommended when the weather permit.

Horrible stayWe have chosen this hotel for the location and the view of the sea. Unfortunately it was the worst choice we could have. We are professionals in the field of tourism and we have an immense experience of hotels of all kinds and categories around the world. The hotel is very old and needs a very good refurbishment. The floors of the corridors and of the rooms are covered with old carpets which are unacceptable. The worst of all is the complete lack of sound insulation. Our room, paid for a double deluxe, was a simple double room, big enough but with two communicating doors with the adjoining rooms !!! Also the big balcony glass door, while it is with double glazing, it is so old that it does not isolate at all the room from the sounds of the street, which are very strong! So we spent nine horrible nights, with the very intense noise of the road that did not allow to us quiet nights at all, but also we shared the nights of unknown roommates occupying the adjoining rooms to the right and to the left of our room. We listened to all their conversations and activities and smelled the smoke of their cigarettes. When we asked for room change, they suggested another room that did not differ at all from what we had! They informed us that all the double rooms of the hotel are communicating!!! An other problem of the hotel is the internet which is so weak that we could not even open our e-mails! Our stay in this hotel was the worst we ever had in our lives.

Good Base for exploring BeirutWe had a huge room with great sea views and the large albeit shared balcony was great. The rooftop bar is a great setting and breakfast there was good. I was initially a bit concerned that noise from the bar would prevent us sleeping but the double glazing was fine as was the air conditioning.

The Good, The Bad and the UglyThis hotel has it all. Good, Bad and Ugly, Let me explain: 1. Good A. Location: Along the Med. Close to the central area of the city. B. Breakfast: Nice mix, small number of choices, but good choices. But the best thing about the breakfast was its location at the rooftop restaurant. For my, what a beautiful way to start the day. Awesome view! Relaxing. So enjoyable. C. Price for a waterview room offered in this hotel. D. Great maintenance staff. Had issues that were taken care of immediately. E. Our room was old, but clean. 2. Bad A. Made a local call from my room phone = $4 US. Really??? B. Hotel is being remodeled. Needs much work. C. I was happy to have a room in the 2nd floor. It you had a room under the rooftop lounge/bar you may experience loud music. We did not. Perhaps ask for lower floor. Or, enjoy the music. 3. Ugly A. View from my room - opposite of the ocean is a really ugly, half-built building. Sadly, much ugliness abounds. Our experience was good. So I gave it a rating of 4/5. It is a 3 star hotel with the possibility of becoming better.

Beirut accomodationOverall experience wasn't bad but the facility didn't meet my expectations. No swimming pool or gym. The view from the pent house was pure Bliss though. Breakfast was also bland, same thing every day.
