This is not a resortThe hotel itself LOOKS amazing, aesthetically and the rooms are furnished well. But it's just lipstick on a pig. The internet is slow. It's SO loud here. Mid week and all you hear is doors slamming in the hallway, the TV in the room next to you and the dog barking down the hall. Don't you dare open your window or you'll just hear the people outside on the balcony or in the restaurant or the smokers. Did you notice the hotel parking lot was empty and think you'll check for a water view instead? That'll cost ya $50 extra with a free serving of "how dare you even ask me" from the front desk staff. I honestly had a better stay across the street at the TL. Also...what qualifies as a resort nowadays? Wiki says "The term resort may be used for a hotel property that provides an array of amenities, typically including entertainment and recreational activities" I saw an indoor pool and an overpriced restaurant. There's also a steep gravel path that leads to the "beach". Beach is in quotations above cause this is just a rocky area where transients hang out. The parking lot is a gravel area where you will ruin the wheels on your suitcase. But hey, there's an overpriced restaurant attached if you're hungry. No thanks.

Wow! We had a great stay. Good valueWow! We loved our stay here. Staff are very friendly. Covid protocols are enforced but they are very polite when asking guest to maintain social distancing and wear masks in the public area. It is well worth the extra money to book an ocean view room. The resort is right on the water and we had a totally unobstructed view over the ocean. During the day the tide was in but during the evening the tide goes out and we could see people walking on the beach. The room was spacious, very clean and was nicely furnished with modern furniture. Even the balcony had comfortable wicker chairs and a table for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. The resort is set back far enough from the highway that noise from traffic is not a factor. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The bedside lighting is also very good so it was nice for reading in bed. Would definitely stay again when in Parksville.

Beautiful view, relaxingGreat staff, nice room and fantastic view. Stayed for a week to get away from the busy mainland. Relaxing walks with the dogs and nice dinners. Ordered from the restaurant downstairs and it was very tasty, would highly recommend the hotel and the restaurant.....will be back soon

Gorgeous ViewGreat staff, beautiful hotel and unbelievable view of the ocean. Excellent restaurant on the premise. Free parking. We spent 5 days there and got a lot of golfing in. Will definitely be back next year for at least a week.

AverageWe booked three nights at this hotel for our stay in Parksville so we could be close to the water. As it turns out, they are doing renovations so you can't get through the property down to the bay. You have to walk a couple blocks to get down to the water. Had I known that, I would have chosen a different Hotel. Because their restaurant is closed for renovations, they have been providing complimentary breakfast and dinner. We have only taken them up on the breakfast offerings which are sufficient, but it is quite surprising that they also offer the free dinner. I've never heard of that before. Our particular room smells quite musty so I feel that there has maybe been a water problem in here over the years. In my opinion, any room this close to the ocean should not have carpet as it can hold the moisture and make the room stink. The fan in the bathroom is not connected, so that's annoying. We had reserved a pet-friendly, king, ocean view room, but on check-in, we were informed that there were no pet friendly King rooms at the hotel so we had to accept two queens. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is charming.
