  Customer service lacking

  Rooms were nice, but the customer service was a bit lacking. Staff were a bit dismissive with their small town mentality. Thats not to say that it wasnt because they were overworked or understaffed, not really sure what the go is. Bit disappointed to have gone down to ask about a booking in their restaurant, to have one of the staff look at me and somewhat abruptly ask What, before I could even say anything. Check in was a bit dismissive and rushed, having said that I think the poor girl had already knocked off. But as I said the rooms were nice, well maintained and restocked, the nicest people working there appeared to be the maids. Matt

  Wouldn't rush back

  The family rooms although they look nice the beds were like sleeping on bricks. The noise from the room next door was shocking. Not the guests fault we could actually hear the tv and what was on through the wall. As well as conversions.

  Enjoyed our stay. Had a top floor king bay view room. Been refurbished to an excellent standard. Bathroom very very nice. On site restaurant excellent. Had a mixed grill. Couldn't finish it . That's a first. Great location centre of town and to wharf restaurants.

  Not worth booking

  We booked queen family with ocean view (1 queen plus 2 single, ocean view) paid extra for this. When we arrived checked in, given card for door that didnt work, had it reloaded, opened the door to find someone else was already using this room. Was then given another room, 1 queen bed, 1 single with view of the reject shop. Very close to the stairs. Very noisey from street, people up and down the stairs and couple next door fighting. Asked staff regards the down grade of our room, didnt answer. If I wanted the street view I would have booked that and saved my money.

  Staff and food

  Went to the bayside hotel on the 7/3/21 with a group of friends for dinner the staff where rude and abrupt and we had a mix up with a meal which became an issue for the staff to fix then my husband could not eat his as it was like a rubber boot but we where refused a refund as they said it was sitting there to long not have a refund
