So-so stayWe stayed at Bayshore for two nights in August. The rooms are average, beds are uncomfortable (but we liked the pillows). It definitely could have been cleaner. We paid extra to have a water front room, which ended up being to the marina area, not exactly what we had in mind, but the location is good. The walls are thin as I could hear others and was awoken by children jumping on the floor above me. They have two chairs on the balcony but no table, which would be a nice addition so you can play cards, or a place to put a drink or snacks. There is a mini fridge and coffee maker, but no microwave. Wifi wasnt the best. Didnt eat at the restaurant, but looked at the menu, which seemed pricey. The Starbucks, isnt a true Starbucks (ordering/paying from your app). Overall, the hotel is ok. I think its overpriced, but comparable to other hotels in Waterton. Not sure Id return, I think I would try another hotel next time.

Very misleadingI booked this hotel based on pictures and description online which stated it was fully renovated and soundproof and we had paid an extra $100 per night to have lake view. if this hotel is renovated they need to rethink who they paid to complete the renovations . It is nothing like the pictures online the rooms are small and very loud all you hear is dogs barking, people talking and the door to outside has a big gap on the bottom for all the cool air to come through and since we booked through booking.com we had no choice but to stay both nights or still pay for both...... Not at all what we expected very disappointed wont be back

Bayshore InnWe expected the price to be high for a room in the park by the lake. I think this was a non renovated room as there was a big stain on the carpet. The screen door did not open properly. One side of bedside lamp must have had a short in it as it was flickering badly. We could not use it. Beds were comfortable. We were on bottom floor. Floors above were very creaky and we could hear people walking and talking. However this is rustic. Was not comfortable with bath dispensers in this Covid time. The bottles on the wall were squeeze bottles with ridges. Did not use as we did not know if they were sanitized. We did not realize these rooms rented out every night. I could not see how they could actually be completely sanitized. We went to the Chophouse for supper. The Fish and Chips were the best and reasonably priced. I had the Kale salad which was very tasty. Prices were very reasonable. Too bad they had front doors standing open which let flies in. Could not see mountains as it was very smoky. Tough situation for this hotel with no view and the corona virus. Masks were not enforced.

$80 room for $195We chose the hotel because I worked at the front desk 35 years ago and I wanted to relive some of my youth, I suppose. I certainly knew how old the hotel was but was encouraged by the news that the hotel was undergoing renovations. I requested a lake view room and, like another reviewer, got the marina side. If you get a chance to request something more towards the middle of the hotel, Id recommend it. The room could not have been cleaner. I was definitely impressed by that. I did not believe it to be renovated because its furnishings are so ordinary and uninspired, but since reading some of the owners responses I acknowledge I may have been wrong about that. If so, its all the more reason to be disappointed in how much we paid, even if there arent many options in Waterton. The room has an ordinary tub and shower in a relatively small bathroom. There are no remarkable amenities - not even bottled water. I have stayed in similar hotels but because the rooms only cost between $60-$80 my expectations were far lower. Its a somewhat noisy hotel because of its construction (it was noisy 35 years ago, too), but it wasnt as bad during our Tuesday night stay as I feared it might be. That was a plus. I think its great that the owner is so responsive on Trip Advisor and I wish the team the best of luck.

Great place to stay, but, HOLY S##t does the wind blow!!The room is all that you need. Temperature control is actually in your control. (unlike some that are just a suggestion) View is worth everything you want! Balcony, would be good if the wind hadn't been 107 km. Staff can't be faulted. This is worth every nickel! Walking distance to all attractions, nearby restaurants provide very good food at a Holy S##t high price. Overall we'll be back.
