  Un oasis de tranquilidad en medio de un bosque encantado.

  Hotel muy elegante ubicado en las afueras de Potsdam Las instalaciones constan de un edificio principal y 3 anexos; una zona de spa con pileta cubierta y sauna, donde brindan servicios de belleza y masajes; y un restaurante con una estrella Michelin. La atención de su staff es muy cordial, nos permitieron quedarnos mas allá del horario del check out sabiendo que ese día volvíamos a nuestro país. El desayuno... uno de los mejores que tuve la oportunidad de disfrutar. La variedad, pocas veces vista. Y todo enmarcado en una terraza rodeada de un jardín de cuento, Las habitaciones son amplísimas, elegantes y con muebles de madera y baño de mármol italiano. También hay conexión WiFi gratuita en todas las dependencias. Parking free privado. Es cómodo ir con el auto, ya que las principales atracciones de Potsdam están ubicadas a 10 minutos en auto. Llegamos después de un viaje de más de 2 semanas, paseando y recorriendo, con el lógico cansancio que esto conlleva. Como ya habíamos estado en Berlín al inicio del viaje, elegimos este lugar en el medio de bosques, para terminar nuestro viaje descansando y también con el fin de llegar al aeropuerto sin pasar por Berlín. Es un lugar de cuento, nuestra habitación estaba en uno de los anexos, que son grandes cabañas con 4 habitaciones. Para llegar al edificio principal, se atraviesa el parque. En él no sólo se puede comer en su famoso restaurante, sino que tiene un bar con gran variedad de bebidas para terminar el día relajados. A pasos del hotel, se abre un bosque que parece el de Hansel y Gretel, con varios senderos para recorrer. Cruzándolo se llega a la ciudad de Potsdam. Como nuestro vuelo salía en pocas horas, no nos quisimos aventurar mucho, pero es otro más de los motivos para volver a este excelente hotel.

  Nice welcome, clean and spacious rooms

  Everything was brilliant except for the fact that it was not possible to get a table in the restaurant even though we were hotel guests, since the hotel is in an "off" location this was quite a disappoint to us, we were sure that there would be room for hotel guests that wanted to dine in

  They dont really understand the business of a hotel

  Be sure to ask for a room that doesnt face the courtyard, because it is very noisy when there are parties. Loud music and and PA system prevent anyone with rooms on that side from getting to sleep before the party winds down. What are you generally paying a hotel for? A room to SLEEP. Good luck here. Youd think that in a place thats out of the way, as this place is, it would be quiet. Think again.

  A place you really want to come back to

  What a place: Fantastic location, quiet in the forests right outside Potsdam. Squirrels in the garden. Fantastic breakfast, great pool, always clean, friendly staff, free parking. Only thing a bit on the low side, the speed on the wi-fi is a bit slow if you stay in the Forest house

  Nice forest hideaway with somewhat strange restaurant policy

  We stayed 2 night at the Romantik Hotel Bayerisches Haus in Potsdam to celebrate our wedding anniversay. Our overall stay was very nice and we enjoyed our room (thought the 90-ies furniture and design is a bit outdated), the spa and swimming pool, the surrounding forest as well as the excellent breakfast very much. We also didnt have any moscito problems often mentioned in other reviews here! One reason however, why I chose the hotel was its Michelin star restaurant which at the time of the booking on the hotel webpage was announced to close 2 days later from July 4 for summer vacation to celebrate out anniversary so I asked for a table reservation along with my reaervation. A day later the Maître d'hotel Marko Grundmann wrote me an Email that there might have been a mistake on their website and that the Michelin star restaurant is already on summer vacation. Later on I read other reviews suggesting that the restaurant actually seemed never to have re-opened after the Corona lockdown, so an update of the hotel website would have been good. But never mind, we changed plans and booked a table at Kochzimmer, the other Potsam Michelin star restaurant for our anniversary and had a wonderful evening and dinner there. For the following night we then re-booked a table at the other restaurant of the hotel (which was open) on the terrace. This was for Friday July 3, 2020, which was a wonderful hot day in Potsdam with temperatures of 23 degrees at 20.00 and all restaurant terraces around the city completely crowded. When arriving at the hotel we were told by the Concierge that actually the restaurant management decided to not open the terrace that night and that guests would be served inside the restaurant. So another restaurant disappointment there and we decided short notice to dine out and not to be locked inside a Bavarian typ of winter hut ambiente on such a nice summer evening and found a wonderful restaurant terrace and food just nearby with an amazing view onto Lake Schwielow... So in a nutshell we booked a hotel for the dining experience which due to a rather bizarre communication and strategy we never had. But in both cases and evenings dining out turned out into the much better option...
