Thank you Bayhill!I've been living in Korea for about a year and half now and got a chance to take a break from work finally! Off to Jeju Island, an island that's popular among Koreans for a vacation. I got to stay in Bayhill Pool&Villa located in southern part of the island. Got a warm welcome at the lobby with some tasty juices. We sat on a sofa and went through check-in procedure. They kindly explained to us about the room and location sights around the hotel. We stayed in Bay Suite. It had a hot tube, comfortable bed, pool, and probably the best suite to see the sunset. The hotel also has a restaurant Narnia I think the name was. The meals there was very tasty! The weather was nice so we set outside for the dinner. What a view by the way. After dinner we experienced spa care in the same building. I don't usually get spa care but did it just to experience it all! It was worth it! We went back to our room and jumped into our personal pool we have in the suite (the hotel also has a swimming pool that's open for everyone at their main building). We stayed for 2 nights and it was a very nice stay! Jeju itself was nice also. The island has many great restaurants! People in Jeju and staffs at Bayhill were very nice and friendly. Normally many hotel's night staffs's attitude can be different from the day time staffs. It's understandable since they can be tired staying up all night. Around 3am or so, we called the front desk if he could explain to us how to use a hot tube again (should've listened harder when they explained to me on the first day...). He actually visited our room to explain and help us use the hot tube instead of just explaining through the phone! I felt bad calling him at 3am... but he was very kind and friendly! It was a true healing place to be at. Had a blast! For sure we want to visit again! Thank you Jeju! Thank you Bayhill!

Good locationAs a 4-star hotel, Bayhill is alright. Pros: The thing I liked best about this hotel was the location. Its within a short walking distance to the shorefront where you could enjoy superb ocean view at nice cafes (e.g. Hueîlot and Lucia). The hotel was situated in a quiet neighbourhood, but we still managed to find a few good local restaurants nearby. Hotel staff were very polite and courteous. On one rainy day, a male staff rushed out with an umbrella the minute he spotted our car pulling into the parking lot. This hotel might be a good choice if you dont like big tour groups. We were there late September and we only saw 4-5 families. Cons: The hotel looked modern from the outside, but deferred maintenance was obvious in a lot of places. The hotels web pics were probably taken when it was newly built. Room - We had a Standard Double room (A101) for 4 nights. The room was good size with simple furnishings. Layout was a bit awkward with a kitchenette (which we have no use for) right next to the bathroom vanity area. And our room definitely needs maintenance and updating. The curtains were very difficult to draw and we had to fight with it every night. Theres a nice big terrace which overlooked the red roof top of another building, and bushes were planted to block off the view of the hotel parking lot. Btw the hotel claimed that ALL of its rooms have ocean view, thats simply not true, at least not our room. Housekeeping - Theres room for improvement, used cups were not cleaned well and just returned to its original position. It happened 2 days in a row, to the same cup. Breakfast - Served in Narnia and need to order from a fixed menu. Food was acceptable. But they didnt change the menu so it was really boring if you stay for several consecutive days.

Couldnt have chosen better then thisVisited Jeju with my friends and choose to stay in hill suite for 2 days and I loved it. After touring for 9 days in Seoul,2 days inJeju were suppose to be out relaxing days. Villa was in near sea away from all tall buildings and traffics. We hired rental car so, it was easier for us to reached in this villa from Jeju airport (Need own car to reached in this destination). We flew to Jeju early morning and reached in Villa hours early but Staff in reception were so nice and friendly and seen him with happy face (Evan). Our room wasnt ready so, he offered us tea & biscuits while waiting in lounge (Alice & wonderland theme). He explained everything in details about hotels and surroundings. Well spoken english. Got to out Villa and it was beautiful. Open area well furbished, even have bluetooth speakers provided, Clean, sea view rooms(both), complimentry drinks (cokes, waters, beers), enough cutlery and plates provided in kitchen drawers, microwaves, jacuzzi outside(needs 2 hrs to fill up), double swings in balcony to look at sea view and sunsets. All toiletries were proveded by them including toothbrush, paste, comb, shower caps etc. Few local resturants available near villa but there are convenience store near to buy snacks. Booked Afternoon tea for next day with Group of 4 people. You have to try their Afternoon tea it was nothing like British Afternoon tea. It cost 50,000 won for 2 and it worth it everything was lovely staff were friendly well spoken english again. We decided to have takeaways for dinner in our own villa but we didnt know any place and couldnt speak any korean language so staff from reception offered to help us more then happy to order it for us. FYI there are only 2 who delivers chicken shop and chinese so, did both they deliver straight to doors. Overall everything went great and we dont regret spending money on for this villa. It all worth it. Thank you very much Bayhill Pool & Villa. We would def visit again in future if we come to korea again.

Horrible room condition and serviceWhen I checked in, the staff was not welcoming at all and it took a while (15mins although there was no line at the lobby) to get help to check in. And then at check-in we were told there would be an issue with the AC because of the warm weather (like 90F definitely not 100F) and if water drips from the AC and the ceiling around it so much they will bring the towel to the room and the situation will be better at night. I was frustrated but at that time, my family and I were already so exhausted and it was obviously too late to change the plan with all hotels in the area booked out in advance. And yes the THE WHOLE FLOOR WAS FLOODED EVEN DURING NIGHT and I needed to request bunch of towels several times and kept wiping the floor. And WORST PART WAS THAT THE ROOM WAS NOT BEING COOLED IN SUMMER NIGHT. I paid like $700 per night to stay there. This is not the service I expect paying like this. And if room has a serious problem, they should have given me different room or let me know in advance so I can cancel booking. I sent an email to them after coming back from vacation and they KEEP SAYING it's NATURAL to have that issue (Come on. I have never had that issue in my life no matter how warm it is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They should have maintained facility better and if there is an issue, they need to fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). According to them SINCE ALL OTHER CUSTOMERS UNDERSTOOD THAT (so what??? should i just shut up crying????) they cannot do any action. They offered they are going to send a small gift (what gift???? name it!) if I agree or in the future, if I stay there there will be some discount (of course I don't want to stay there in the future). This kind of customer service attitude is not expected even from a mass market producer, not to mention the hospitality industry. The A/C problem and the way the hotel has handled it has ruined my family reunion and I highly recommend to avoid this hotel at all cost.
