  Great place to stay!

  Stayed for a week in September and had a brilliant time. Our villa was clean, spacious and very well equipped. Great location on the North Cornish coast, within 10 mins drive of a selection of stunning beaches. The local on-site support team were so helpful, Bridie deserves a special mention. Would definitely recommend Bay Retreat Villas for a fabulous holiday break.

  Fantastic location

  We stayed for 7 nights at the villas and were all really impressed. Check in was slightly later and check out slightly earlier due to the current deep clean between guests which was reassuring. The villa was perfect with thoughtful, simple touches such as a few dishwasher tablets and everything in the dishwasher just cleaned on our arrival. The location is amazing, 45 minutes at most from virtually anywhere in Cornwall. We never used the onsite facilities such as the bar but the local village is a5 minute drive and has everything you need, 2 fantastic pubs for food, an amazing restaurant, a chip shop, and I believe there was a Chinese takeaway. Yes they do empty the bins twice a week at 4-4:30 in the morning as other reviewers have mentioned but I dont think you can really use this against the management, ours at home are emptied at 6-6:30 some weeks! Overall a fantastic villa in an amazing location to visit the amazing sites of Cornwall, we also got it at a bargain price which being a Yorkshireman will always sway me

  Famiy/dog friendly villas.

  High praise for the housekeeping team for providing an exceptionally clean and safe environment amidst these difficult times.Gave us reassurance as we were on holiday with our daughter and their young grandchildren.We highly recommend Bay Retreat villas,in this beautiful area of Cornwall.   Lovely little place

  Had a lovely week in this cosy villa , has been refurbished to high standard and very clean, didnt see the restaurant open at all so maybe shut as out of season. Great base for visiting different beaches . Fish and chips up the road really good. Stunning walks , recommend port quin to port Isaac coastal route but not for the faint hearted (took the shortcut on way back) and tough going but spectacular views. Also constatine bay to mother ives holiday park coastal route another great walk past lighthouse . A lot of the smaller car parks only take coins which was difficult as who carries cash nowadays ! So be prepared. Weather was not kind and ferocious at times but we still had a lovely week.

  A lovely place to stay

  Stayed here back in 2009, not long after they were built & the villas were beautiful. Stayed her for 4 nights this October and the villas are still lovely but do need a bit of a touch up to keep them looking nice. The paint work does need doing in places. The bathroom/shower needs a few things done to it but overall, the villas are still nice. I do feel that a picnic table is not really right for the garden area as you cannot really sit back and relax on one of those. Just to be aware, the Nisa shop on site was only open once when we were there. I did ring the on site restaurant/bar - The Venue before we went and they told me they were unlikely to be open in October. The nearest pub is a few mins drive down the road so not far, but not really walkable due to the dark roads with no paving. Not a negative as such, but just for info really. We booked through breakscornwall.com and I have to say they were brilliant. Were very helpful whenever I called or emailed with a question. Would highly recommend them. I have emailed them with the things above just so they are aware, as they cannot fic these problems if people do not mention them. i do believe some of the villas are hired out by Hoseasons also. All in all, a lovely break away and I would definitely stay here again if visiting Cornwall.
