  Great location and beautiful hotel

  The location is superb and the garden is beautiful. We have no complaints about this hotel except for 2 issues. Number one, the room was just too hot as there is no air-conditioning. Temperature was as high as 32 Celsius in the middle of the day and in high 20's. It was almost unbearable to stay in bed and the design of the room did not allow for wind to come in (as there was only one window linked to the balcony). The second issue we had was that clearly it was a hotel with lots of guests who have stayed here many times. Preferential treatment was quite obvious from attitude towards service to hotel activities (new comers would have no idea that there is such a thing called weekly aperitif unless they accidentally bump into it and have to ask the hotel staff about it). We understand that it is important to look after your loyal customers - but isn't it also important to cultivate new customers?

  It's worth staying, yet there are minor but(s) Good location

  It is of paramount importance to be aware and consider the fact that this hotel has no air conditioning, for as during the summer lasting heat wave, it is unbearable to stay indoors both day and night. The hotel does offer fans, but it makes not much of a difference. This is the only shortcoming that I can think of. The outdoor and indoor pools are very nice. The indoor pool is not very big, but very cozy. The outdoor pool is surrounded by lush plants and palm trees all aroun, very placid ambience, that will sustain your relax. I personally, spent a great deal of time lounging by the outdoor pool, sipping on cold drinks and savoring yummiest ice cream. There is also a steam. The room I stayed in was rather small, but very comfortable and had a terrific balcony that came in very handy as to tan during the daytime and enjoy coffee in the evenings. You may also smoke on the balcony, meanwhile smoking is prohibited inside the room. The quality of sleep is incredible. Nice bed, clean linen, quiet nights. Impeccable housecleaning staff and service. One priceless asset that this hotel has the privilege to posses is the staff. Very welcoming, helpful and affable. Any request was fulfilled at the very instant. I extend my personal gratitude in particular to Waiter/waitress Fabian and Anna and Florian, Andrea and Arthur at the reception/front desk.

  Extremely nice hotel in Merano, Italy

  Hotel Bavaria is a very beautiful hotel in walking distance to the center of the town. The room I got was in the annex, but you still have access to free swimmingpool and steambath. My room was fantastic. Very nice and comfortable bed, lots of closets, a very fine and big bathroom, and a nice balcony with furniture. Very recommendable. And the breakfast buffet was outstanding and served in a very beautiful room.

  Best of Italy & Austria combined

  An absolute delight. Stayed in the main house which has the grander rooms. Comfortable. Food truly delicious. But the best of all was the standard of staff - friendly, helpful, pleasant. Hope to be back ... when weve saved up enough.

  Excellent Hotel

  After completing the E5 crossing we were in need of some luxury and boy did we get it. Our room was amazing, bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom had a huge bath which was lovely. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing with so much choice. The gardens are lovely and the outside pool area is so beautiful. Don't hesitate to book this hotel as you won't be disappointed.
