  An honest hotel

  We just came back from a 5-night holiday at Hotel Bavaria Blu in Mamaia. The hotel is located right on the beach. We arrived at the hotel on Sunday at 14 o'clock, but the accommodation was only after 18 o'clock. The hotel has a large private car park in which we have a seat for the car. I reserved a room with sea view. Large enough room with balcony, large queen size bed, with Samsung LCD TV, small fridge full of juices and beer (contracost), slippers, bathrobes, safe. Bathroom with shower, towels, bath towels and disposable shower products. Centralized air conditioning with high power, very efficient. The room is cleaned every day, every day the room is arranged and once every 2 days the sheets and towels are changed. Camerists very polite. The hotel is very nice, with 2 modern lifts, with surveillance rooms on the hallways, at the reception desk, clean, at reception, polite staff, very relaxed atmosphere, sofas where you can relax, even reading books. The hotel is quiet, there is no music from the terraces, during the day is the radio from Constanta Radio which has the building next to it. I had half board, breakfast and lunch. Restaurant with obsolete furniture. Upholstered chairs, quite old and some stained. New cutlery and plates. Very good breakfast, besides the usual dishes (eggs, cheese, sausages, bacon, etc.) with traditional dishes: zacusca, eggplant, salad of roe , boeuf salad, etc.). Drinking flat and carbonated water, natural juices of oranges, peaches and apple. And coffee, hot chocolate or tea. Espresso coffee Julius Meinl with coffee beans Julius Meinl. The best coffee I drank in a hotel. Lunch: 2 type of soup, the second course with pork, chicken or turkey or fish dishes, well cooked but rather dry (grilled, schnitzel or steaked). Dessert with many fruits: red melon, watermelon, peaches, white and red grapes and different type of cakes, etc. The staff at the restaurant was very kind and joyful. The best thing about the hotel is the swimming pool: great, clean, a real oasis of relaxation. Pool depth from 0.65 m to 1.65 m. We received cards for beach towels from reception. On the edge of the pool there are loungers enough for all who want to use them. The staff at the pool are very kind and prompt. Something about the beach and about the sea: between the exit from the hotel and the beach is just a cliff. At the hotel is the beach "Blanco beach". There are sun loungers on the beach, but you can also sit on the sand. At the entrance to the beach, the boys meet you to ask if they can serve you with sun loungers. When we were renting a sun lounger it costs 20 lei / day (4.2 - 4.3 euros). Two umbrellas and a table were provided. The sea was a little deep, it could go 60-70 m wide to a depth of 1.65 m. The sea was quite clear, and the bottom of the water was sand. About Mamaia: crowded, with a bike track. The bike track is present along the station, on the sidewalk or on the road. The sidewalk is often narrowed by the seafront dining tables. On Saturdays and Sundays, Mamaia is very crowded, from Monday to Friday it is decongesting. In addition to clubs, the resort also has an Aquapark, a gondola and a holiday village. In conclusion: an honest, quiet hotel with friendly staff that can be recommended to those who go to the sea for rest.

  I will divide my remarks into 2 parts: Food Breakfast was good. I wish I could say very good, but several times selections were limited, coffee unavailable, and table service, even as a self-serve, ineffectual. House cleaning Terrible. Even with sign saying clean my room it was not done. When done towels and sheets were replaced but bathroom, etc, was not refashioned. Reception people were very accommodating, In summary, if want a hotel near beach with breakfast and lunch at a reasonable price, then this hotel might your criteria, but make sur eyou know what you want,

  Good stay

  Stayed here for New Year's vacation. I enjoyed the fact that the rooms were warm, clean, spacious. The New Year's Eve party was very nice, the food was good and the music very entertaining. The staff is helpful and nice. Only downside: the room seemed a little basic for a four star hotel. All in all a good stay.

  Not deserve even 1*

  Small rooms, no fresh air, dirty laundry, AC broken, arrogant staff when asked for advices or help, food not fresh and everything expensive. Not recommend to anyone, avoid this place if you want to have a nice holiday

  Ok hotel

  The hotel was ok and it was only a few steps from the beach. The Breakfast was ok and the room were normal sized. It was also near the Luna Park and the bazaar. The pool was also normal sized and had a small island on it.
