Pleasant stayA friend and I stayed here for a night. A very warm and extremely friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was also really good. In 20 min one can reach the city by foot, bus station is also very close to the hotel.

Relatively cheap but still overpriced for bad location and wifiI made the mistake of taking this hotel because of the price but really it's a terrible choice for someone who does not have a car (the hotel being located on the outer edge of Leiden) and so it is a 30-minute walk to get into the town area. It is ludicrous that a Northern European hotel in 2019 should have such terrible wifi coverage. In order to get some work done, I was forced to use the 4G roaming on my mobile due to the weak or non-existent Wifi in the hotel and that surely raises the cost of my stay to the same level as a better hotel in the city center. I also noticed that the hotel staff would come and enter the room in mid-day, not the cleaning staff but the front desk people would knock on the door and when I did not respond, they still came in to the room... and then ask "How is your room?"... but what is the point of coming in to ask that if I don't respond to the initial knock? Do they come and check everybody's room multiple times a day? Very weird and suspicious. Given the bad location, you would think that there would be bicycles available for guest use or rent, but none was offered when I asked about transport alternatives to get to town. There are lots of good bike lanes from the hotel to town but that is useless to hotel guests if they aren't offered a bike. The staff were friendly and told me that I was getting a "quiet" room but that first night was interrupted by some loud Eastern European drunkards in the nearby rooms at 2am. My room did not include breakfast, but when it was offered to me on check-in I would have considered it but the price (EUR 14!) was also crazy!!

location nothing but the locationi took this hotel as my daughter lives nearby.it is not convenient if you are interested in being near the city center of leiden.as it is quite a long way to walk.in summertime it is convenient as there is a swimming pool nearby that is quite ok.i agree taht the corridors are a bit sinister and the shower basic.it is not a cheap hotel in any sense.i will however stay there as it is in a convenient location for me.i cannot say anything about the food as i did not eat there.

Insulting cuisineIf you only need it to sleep is ok but, dont dare you to ask for a meal there.... it was the worst experience that I had in around 3 years around Europe, and this is something very hard to tell, but its true...
