Loved the stayIt is a lovely old Haveli property with well apoointed rooms. The rooms are very luxuriously decorated. The views from all rooms are more or less same and not very interesting but that should not be discouraging given the sprawling areas ,gardens, very charming , unusually done swimming pool cum bar ..Service is great, food was home jmade kind so not like hotel food spicy and i relished the flavorful dishes...A special thanks to the management for upgrading my room to one of the best ones for my birthday. really peaceful stay and great service by the guys on site. He (I am unable to remember the name of the guy on site ) was kind enough to make a small bonfire for us to enjoy. on the Con side : it may be a bit too far from chittaurgarh. The lack of sign boards make it a bit inconvenient to locate the Haveli..it is not a fort stay it is more like a cross between Haveli and fort. Food is a bit on the expensive side esp with no other outlets nearby.

Wonderful placeStayed here a night after couple of days in Bijaipur. Its certainly a little quirky and not as upmarket as Bijaipur, but to be honest I prefer it and this was a return visit to both. I found the atmosphere in the village of Bijaipur extremely strange. Im not sure what's happened there, or what relations are like between village and Castle but the majority of people seemed sullen, disinterested and bordering on hostile. No requests for selfies in the village of Bijaipur! Bassi on the other hand is a proper small friendly town- back to the usual India. The room was expansive. I think their best, but as nobody else was there, why not? Dinner was nice at a candlelit table outside attended by two waiters. When it came to paying I couldn't find my booking with the price of the deal. I remember though how much it was and that was perfectly acceptable. The deal was of course in £ and I made the mistake of converting the $ amount, thus underpaying by around 1000INR. When I realised of course I payed up. They would not have asked me for it though. Wonderful!

Quirky HotelThis is a lovely restored heritage property offering simple but great accommodation. We stayed for one night and were given a very spacious set of rooms including a sitting room, bedroom, dressing area and bathroom. We were the only guests as the havelli is a little off the beaten track. We ate at the hotel and were not disappointed. Food was plentiful and home cooked. Service was also faultless. Ideal for a one night stop as there is little to see or do in the immediate vicinity.

Peaceful and quiet placeThis happens to be our first road trip post lockdown and we end up staying in this calm, peaceful and tranquil place in a small village called Bassi. With covid fear still on our mind, we were definitely expecting a clean and hygienic space with few people around. Our fears waived off as soon as we reached the place as we were the only family in the hotel when we checked in. They upgraded our room to a Royal suite. The room was clean with neat and fresh linen, the bathroom looked really old (needs a lot of work )but was clean so served the purpose. The main attraction of the hotel for us was "The KalpaVriksha" or the "Wish Bearing Tree". The beauty of the magnificent tree is a sight to behold. The densely branched tree with spreading crown and drooping branches covers most part of the courtyard. Having a cup of tea under its shade in the morning and gazing at its branches brought a lot of joy and relaxation. They were under-staffed as a result of the covid outbreak. But we were still looked after well by the ones present. A special mention for Mohan Bhaiya here is a must. Our evening chats with highly knowledgeable and informative Colonel Randhir Singh and meeting his wonderful family would always stay as an unforgettable memory in our hearts.

Mewar warmth at its best!A 450 year old Haweli with the old world charm. Rooms are set in the old world way but warm and neat. Food is awesome and warmth overflows everywhere. A kalp-vriksh ( wishing tree) is on the premises! Ideal location if u want to visit Fort of Chittor. Only flaw is that there r no signboards of the property and it takes directions from the locals to locate it.
