  Picturesque location with excellent service.

  Barristers is located in the picturesque Adelaide hills. We visited as a small group of friends where we enjoyed (quite a few) quality wines in a very relaxed environment, the staff were lovely. I highly recommend the pizzas and platters YUM!!! We will definitely be back for the next get together.

  A full body experience

  Imagine sitting in the Spring sunshine, sipping a glass of Poetic Justice Sparkling Blonde (or a glass of The Bully Shiraz), savouring a crispy, flavoursome Pulled Lamb pizza. The flowers are flowering, bees buzzing, geese, goats, lambs and sheep grazing amongst the hillside vines..... This place is a must visit, either with friends, on your own or bring the kids. There is plenty of open space including a playground for them to enjoy. The wines are quite superb and the food is plentiful, fresh and delicious. Just do it.....

  Three visits and only one of them any good

  A close friend booked her wedding at Barristers block so we went to check out the food and wine beforehand. The service we received was so terrible that she nearly pulled the wedding. In particular the staff were very rude. The food was ok but they got our order wrong and then blamed us for it. Thankfully the wedding some months later was brilliant. All involved were wonderful and the food, drinks and service fantastic. My friend could not have asked for a better day. Buoyed by this experience and in order to support this venue which had been affected by the fires we returned a little while ago. Sadly the service again was very poor. We were served by the owner who made us feel like an imposition the first time then totally ignored us when we went to buy some wine from the cellar door. I understand there may be considerable strain given circumstances, however two poor experiences is enough for me to not need to return.

  Lovely location with great service, food and wine

  We live south of the city and are regular visitors to Mclaren Vale wineries due its close proximity but after seeing Barristers Block on SA Weekender and seeing how they had lost all their vines due to the terrible bush fires we decided to drive up to support them and we were so glad we did. Beautiful location with friendly service, excellent food and wines. The music was provided by a great guy with an amazing repertoire. The owner was busy behind the bar serving and making everyone welcome as was all the staff. To have gone through so much and be able to still forge ahead and bring so much pleasure to her visitors says such alot for her and her staff. Please go and support the wineries and the other tourist spots in the hills. You wont be sorry. We will be back.

  Brilliant Birthday Barristers Block

  I celebrated a special Birthday this past Sunday at Barristers Block. Can not fault the whole day. Beautiful location under trees and Umbrellas . The perfect short drive up from City into a rural retreat with 5 star service. Delicious food and wines. Highly recommend for a family, good friends day out to enjoy the wonders of Adelaide Hills.
