Cottage No.8Had a beautiful time out in the wilderness cottage number 8, Very cosy and quiet, perfect for time away from the crazy world in a perfect location in the middle of the rain forest. Beautiful water pools to swim in. BBQs and tennis court. Some nice walks also. Overall a lovely place if looking for some peace and quiet. :)

Not what we expected.Don't misunderstand me. This was a great place very close to some fantastic bush walks. However we were expecting a private house on its own in the bush. In case you think that was just us, everybody else thought the same thing. Can you imagine our surprise to find three rows of duplexes with a total of 20 cabins. Each one had one car space underneath with limited space to turn around. We arrived on New Year's Eve as we always like to be away from parties then. It didn't end up a problem I'm happy to say and we would do it again if we planned to go to the same area.

Cedar LodgeBeautiful cabin to stay, so clean! Pretty comfy beds! Enjoyed the walking tracks and swimming in the waterhole, Blue Gum loop was stunning and its great to feed the friendly birds. They are sometimes to friendly haha.

Wild and wonderfulWe arrived jaded and desperate for some peace and quiet. After a few days we all felt calm and renewed. A beautiful spot off the grid. No wifi and no busy to distract. A great opportunity to reconnect with loved ones and with nature.

Nice isolated retreatThe location here is stunning. The bush and birds are a real treat. Just watch for snakes, ticks and leeches if bushwalking (we encountered hundreds of leeches due to damp conditions, not nice for kids). The wider property facilities are good and well maintained. The cottage is one of about twenty (#7); sparsely populated by mainly retirees, so pretty quiet. The cottage had everything we needed for our few days' away and was very comfortable. The cottage is aged and showing signs of needing some repairs (such as the main sliding door, which does not operate well resulting in jammed fingers and curtain rod which fell down on our 5yo's head). The kitchen and bathroom were mostly clean, but some areas of the cottage could really use a more thorough clean, with parts of the floor and windows frankly filthy. We received no check in instructions and had no clue what to do on arrival, with absolutely nobody there to assist and no mobile reception. Carefully select access to and travel around the area as some roads are 4WD only following rain.
